Mickleover Golf Club was established almost 100 years ago in 1923, and is a challenging parkland course for all standards, within the city of Derby. The course requires more accuracy than length off the tee and a sharp short game to tackle the small greens that run beautifully. The clubhouse is renowned for a friendly welcome, some great draught beers and home-cooked wholesome food.
Ideal for a visit after your game and popular with groups of golfers on an away day. The Professional and his team will look after you and offer everything required to get you started in the wonderful game of golf, or to service your current game. Super course and in great shape. Pro was really welcoming as were the staff in the clubhouse.

Services
To be appointed Club Captain of Mickleover Golf Club is a huge privilege and perhaps the greatest honour any club golfer could aspire to and I look forward to my year and will do my very best to represent our Club, and continue and hopefully enhance its well earned reputation as 'The Friendly Club'.
Our pro-shop is situated near the 1st tee and is the 'check-in' point before you play. It is stocked with everything form Tees & Balls through to the latest in high tech equipment. 2021 will see us stocking the following brands. Tim has been our head professional since 1994 and is vastly experienced in his role.
We're currently in the process of pursuing our England Golf SafeGolf accreditation. For further information on SafeGolf and our safeguarding policies, please contact our Club Welfare Officer. I first joined Mickleover Golf Club in 1997 as a Junior member, enjoying many wonderful years here ever since.
Mickleover Golf Club has a very active membership and all sections enjoy a variety of competitions to cater for all golfers, young and not so young, gents and ladies. We welcome applications for membership and currently have vacancies across all categories. Several categories of membership are available including schemes for golfers who cannot justify or afford the cost of full membership.
We are very popular with visiting groups & societies and welcome you to our club. Packages and prices vary depending on your requirements. As a guide its possible to have 18 holes preceded by a bacon roll & tea/coffee from 30 per person. We do offer a full catering service so please make contact for a bespoke quotation.

I visited this place on the 8th October as there was a nurses reunion so met up with ex colleagues from 40 years ago when left to have my family.Stayed for a couple of hours as found their bar prices a tad more expensive to what I usually pay for my drinks but was nice to return to a place I worked at for thirteen years years some twenty years ago.

A nice park land golf course. It needs a couple more sign posts to get you round, we got lost a couple of times. Faiways and greens looked 'end of season-ish', but that's reasonable at the end of September. But If you play it a couple of times your scores will improve.
There are a couple of great/ quirky holes, depending how you score; the 8th and 10th
A good pro-shop.
Catering was the weak link. The coffee is strong. Very Strong. And when the de-caff tea arrived it was another pot of strong coffee. After a wait more tea arrived, strong mature tea.
A course I'd happily play again.

Great place from the Carpark to the Professional shop and booking in..very welcoming.
The course was a interesting challenge especially for the first time, trying to find the best position for a level lie.. ✔️… Second shots interesting with a summer bounce. Fastish greens need more than a few rounds to get close..
Nicely kept. Club house and staff very welcoming and helpful.. Also the members where also helpful and friendly.. A Good day was had by All!
Thank you, Steve, (Member) Andy, Tony for the invitation and thanks to the Club Captain, and All the team of Mickleover Golf

This is a nice wide open golf course with plenty of challenges for all levels. The course being nice wide open means, if you are taking your time, it can be a very enjoyable and steady round to play. At the same time, if you are looking to push yourself, there are enough challenges to catch you out. The location is fantastic wtih great views over the Mickleover/Littleover hills. The fairways are well kept and the greens in great condition too. The bunkers are unfortunately too inviting however, they are full of sand which is better than most clubs these days. The club house is well decorated with
