We are a Nursery School and Children's Centre working in partnership with parents/carers to ensure your children get the very best start in life. For nearly five decades Hartcliffe Nursery School has been at the heart of the community. Generations of families have attended the school and some of the staff are themselves former parents and pupils.
This stands as testament to the warm, nurturing, family-centred ethos that we work tirelessly to maintain. Our recent Outstanding Ofsted inspection report included comments from some of our parents who praised the approachability of the staff and the family feel of the nursery school. Hartcliffe Nursery School and Children's Centre has been at the heart of the community for nearly 50 years.

Our Nursery School is made up of 2 classes from September every year and a 3rd class from January. Your child will have a special person to link with when they come to nursery called a key person. This member of staff will work very closely with you and your child to make sure your child settles well and that we meet their needs.
We have a soft play room that parents/carers can book for 30 minutes to use with their children, this booking is free of charge and you'll need to provide the number of children using the room and a contact number. If you no longer require your booking you must cancel it or you may have to pay a 10.00 penalty fee.
Return to work, training, personal support, access to food & cooking, and parenting support. Information & Support for children e.g. Speech & Language support, Two year Education, Healthy start vouchers, activities for Children including Forest school, group's activities, crafts, (see our timetables for details).
We base our curriculum on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which helps early years providers support children's learning and development from birth to five years old. We use it to support your child through planned, challenging, enjoyable and playful experiences. The EYFS sets out what all Early Years providers must do to make sure that your child learns and develops.
