Acupuncture is the practise of inserting fine, solid needles into the body for pain relief or, in some cases, to help the body deal with other diseases. It works through the nervous system. To make sure you have access to high quality care at weekends and bank holidays, we have chosen to partner with Vets 999 the leading local out of hours provider based in Stirling. Otherwise our team of vets are on call here at Doune Monday to Thursday and Saturday mornings.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
Pet insurance provides cover for veterinary fees in the event that your pet becomes injured or unwell. It can provide peace of mind that you're in a position to afford all the veterinary care your pet may need. With veterinary medicine employing expensive medical techniques and medication, and with pet owners caring more and more about their pets' health, pet insurance is becoming increasingly popular.
If your insurer asks you to complete your claim online, what we need from you will be greatly simplified. Please note the process may differ between insurers. Attach the clinical history, along with a copy of any payments you've made (you do not have to keep any receipts). Please note the processing of direct claims is discretionary and based on the relationship between the insurer and the clinic.

Struthers and Scott have looked after our dogs throughout the 28 years we have lived in the area. Professional and courteous reception staff provide excellent support to the team of first class vets. Also, they offer required support on the occasions when our dogs have passed.

Struthers and Scott are the best vets. My whole family has been taking our furry family members to them for years now and could recommend them more. All the staff are lovely and you can really tell they all love animals and treat them all like they were their own. I couldn't fault this practice in away, truly wonderful 🐾

I have been a client of Struthers and Scott for over 20 years now. The service has always been outstanding. The ladies in reception are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The vets themselves are wonderful with a genuine warmth in dealing with my dogs. I have an anxious dog and the vets have been great in helping me deal with him. Cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

No matter what the reason for having to contact Struthers & Scott vets, they are always on hand to advise, reassure or give you a shoulder to cry on. I have used the professional services for 19 years for budgies, goldfish, rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs and cannot fault the care and compassion from all staff, vets, nurses and receptionists. A personal service from our local vet.
