We are a two site small animal practice in South Lakes, first established in the early 20th century. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.

Services
Church Walk Veterinary Centre was established in the early 20th century. Based in Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness in the South Lakes and Furness area of Cumbria, we are both a client and a patient focused practice. We are dedicated to the health and welfare of your pet. We are committed to providing a high standard of care in a modern clinical environment.
Here at Church Walk Veterinary Centre, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. We are passionate about animal care. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At both our surgeries we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call your local surgery and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact our out of hours service on 01229 583675 and you will be directed to the appropriate vet.
We are always pleased to receive your feedback and constantly aim to provide a high-quality service, so if you have any compliments or suggestions on how we can improve, we would like to hear from you. To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.

Never mind the pet care....the staff drive dangerously fast by the cutting which is by a primary school. Also, two members of staff were exceptionally rude to me whilst I stood waiting for school to open.My daughter who is only 6 yrs old went into school in tears. It's a zero star from me from the off. Learn how to train your staff in social skills please!!

Sadly had to take my girl as she was poorly, the young man who met me there after hours was very kind and explained what was wrong with her. I had to let her go 😭. The kindness the vet showed me was great I had time to say goodbye and was with her, there was no rush. I recommend this practice very good.
