Sennen & Land's End Pre-school
Sennen & Land's End Pre-School is a well established, committee run, charitable group offering a friendly, inclusive service. Our aim is to provide quality day care and education for children between the ages of 2 to 5. The Pre-School is currently registered to care for 14 children during school term time and we currently have 20 children registered with us.

We are a registered charity regulated by the Charities Commission and inspected by OFSTED. We are currently situated within Blue Haven Community Building. However, we are working hard on plans to relocate to a new modular building at a site close to Sennen Primary School. Although away from Sennen school, we continue to work in close partnership with the teaching staff and governors.
Services
The 570 hours can be used over 38 weeks of the year (term time only). This means a maximum of 15 hours a week of funded flexible early education can be accessed throughout term time. The funded hours can be split between a maximum of two childcare providers (for example a pre-school and a childminder).
Did you know your childcare provider may be entitled to 300 of extra funding to improve the education of your 3 or 4 year old? This funding may be used by your childcare provider in a number of ways, for example, to provide new resources, staff training, additional support and new play or learning experiences to help improve outcomes for your child.
The Pre-School is managed by an experienced Leader and Deputy alongside a team of dedicated staff with a range of childcare qualifications from Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education to degree level and Early Years Teachers. Staff are actively encouraged to continue with their professional learning and develop wider skills to enhance their practice.
Ensuring the setting has, and works to, policies that help it to provide a high quality service; and. The AGM is open to the parents of all of the children who attend the setting and volunteers from the local community. It is our shared forum for looking back over the previous year's activities and shaping the coming year's plan.
The EYFS is how the Government and early years professionals describe the time in your child's life between birth and age 5. This is a very important stage as it helps your child get ready for school as well as preparing them for their future learning and successes.

From when your child is born up until the age of 5, their early years experience should be happy, active, exciting, fun and secure; and support their development, care and learning needs.Sennen & Land's End Pre-School is registered to deliver the EYFS and follows a legal document called the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (see bottom of page to download a copy and a parents guide).
