Appalling customer service
On 30th July this year I purchased a pair of Boots from Balnecroft via their web site. They arrived in good time, but unfortunately were not a good fit. I have tried to contact the company on numerous occasions to arrange to return them without success. I have telephoned many times, but get no answer. I have left numerous messages on their voicemail and emailed them. I have not received any response. It is now 17th November and I still have the boots! Hopefully this review will get a response!

I visited their shop for a new coat and was given all the time I needed to try on several from their displays. I decided to go with the Verney Carron which I had seen earlier online and it's great value with all the features I wanted and more. Friendly staff and some very welcoming dogs around to make me feel at home :-)

Bought a pair of Hoggs of Fife Wellington boots. After only 6 months the uppers starting to crack and leak water. Tried to contact Balnecroft with several emails over the last month, no reply. Tried phoning, no one answers. This is crazy as the faulty boots aren't Balnecroft's fault and I'm sure Hoggs must offer some guarantee but instead Balnecroft have chosen just to ignore the issue and don't even have the decency to respond to communication. Dreadful service.

My husband ordered for my birthday a pair of boots which when they arrived were the wrong size in the right box - genuine mistake! However after a month of chasing I have ended up without any boots and without a full refund. I have drawn a line under the matter. The serviced offered was extremely poor - they simply did not reply to my emails or phone messages, which in any situation is completely unacceptable. I therefore am unable to recommend them.

I ordered a XL jacket from Balnecroft in Jan 2021, but they posted a Large. They then removed XL from the available stock on the website. I have emailed them weekly for over a month and not had a single reply to any of my emails.
If they did not have my size in stock they should have cancelled the order, rather than taking my money and posting the wrong item. As they have not been in contact I have no option but to take this up with my bank.
Keep clear of these cowboys.

I bought a pair of Jack Pike wellingtons from them through EBay after just a month both boots split at the rear (see below).
I contacted them straight away, saying if they gave me a refund or credit note I would spend more money and upgrade through their EBay shop. They ignored my request!
It has taken three months of dispute through EBay and then PayPal to get a refund for the faulty goods they supplied.
One star is too good for their terrible customer service.
