Incandescence Couture is a family run bespoke clothing company. We specialise in making one off, custom made clothing to meet each and every one of our customers expectations. With over 30 years experience our designers and seamstresses Chris & Alison have a wide range of skills and expertise. From bridal, bridesmaid, Mother of the Bride wear, prom dresses, evening wear, hats & fascinators or general alterations.

We have 'The Studio'' onsite where all our creative skills are set to work. You can even learn and develop your own sewing skills by joining the clubs and courses 'The Studio'has to offer.

Meet The Team Report

Our aim is to create a business where we can use our own creativity to make beautiful unique pieces but also where others can use their own creativity and learn new skills. After leaving school at 16 I studied at the London College of Fashion, before starting up my own business creating bespoke wedding dresses which I did for 13 years.

They fit me in super quick when I was unfortunately suddenly without a seamstress (she got COVID, not her fault!!), the alterations to my wedding dress were turned around in a matter of days and were super professional. I will absolutely be recommending this place to everyone in Lancaster and Morecambe.

My wife had her wedding dress altered here after the first person in Clitheroe butchered it trying to make alternations causing her a lot of stress. Within short notice they transformed the dress into something amazing. Can't thank them enough for giving her the dress she deserved.

Lovely people, fantastic service. Made me the most stunning outfit for my daughter's wedding. Highly recommended for all mother of bride or groom. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble. Ordered and collected a slate 'welcome to our home' for my son and partner. Individually painted and very unique, love it. Very reasonably priced too. Lovely shop, hope they do well and stay a long time, Lancaster needs shops like this
