All staff are aware of the varying emotional needs of children who first attend Willand Pre-School and for this reason careful monitoring and observation takes place for the initial six weeks. We encourage the children to play games within small groups to help them to learn the names of their peers and we take note of their interests.
We allocate a key person to your child, prior to them starting the setting. A key person system means that a child will have a designated member of staff who will monitor their progress and set them appropriate goals. This helps to ensure any problems the child may be experiencing will be quickly identified.
