Services
At Blenheim Vets we aim to keep your pet healthy and well throughout its life. From advice for your new pet to health clinics for senior pets, we will help to keep your pet in the very best of health throughout its life. Our Pet Health Club helps you to plan the routine care for your pet and help you to save money.
This service is available to existing clients only and all requests are subject to authorisation from a veterinary surgeon. Authorisation of your request is dependent on your pet having been seen in the last three months by a Veterinary surgeon and if you are unsure whether your next repeat medication check is due please telephone 01335 342111 to speak to one of our reception team.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!

One of the most common parasites caught by pets is fleas, with every cat and dog suffering from them at some stage in their lifetime. Fleas are the cause of Flea Allergic Dermatitis in pets, and in severe cases, fleas can cause anaemia. Many pets become sensitised to flea bites which leads to intense itchiness, and severe self-inflicted trauma flea allergy.

My dog has an ongoing health condition and I feel supported by vet, Adam Durkin and his continuing care; he remembers Fred and so I don’t have to go through his medical history every visit. Treatments and solutions to Fred’s ailments are discussed in full along with price so I always know what to expect. This is an awesome practise.

We first used the vet’s services 16 years ago when we got our first cat. They were professional, organised, helpful and understanding. They organised the pet passport when we moved to Japan and the move went very smoothly. Now, having returned to Ashbourne with thethe practice has grown, but still provides the same high quality, personal service. Very happy.

I have just registered with this practice as we’ve just moved to the area, I have a 7 month old retriever and an 8 week old lab. The professionalism and care you receive with this veterinary practice is outstanding, I have had dogs, cats and farm animals all of my life and I would recommend this practice to anyone without hesitation. Would highly recommend. My dog is from rescue and we are still working on his behaviour and confidence. We have visited the vets twice recently for different reasons we saw India both times and she was very patient and kind to my dog. The first time was an emergency visit receptionist was excellent on the phone we came straight over and we’re dealt with swiftly, and the care given was excellent.

I travel from the other side of Derby to use these vets. They are fantastic with my nervous French bulldogs. They are very friendly, professional and I whole heartedly trust them. The reception staff are all fantastic, friendly , helpful and polite. Wouldn’t take my precious frenchies any where else.

The lovely telephone manner kicked our experience off to a good start! Absolutely highly recommend Blenheim Vets and know our budgie would too if it could speak.
