Services
It is our primary objective here at Tiddlywinks Private Day Nursery to provide the highest standards of care and education for all of the children that we are fortunate to care for. We aim to provide a nurturing, inspirational and safe environment where the children will find stimulation and challenges to build their confidence and further their development, and where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning.
Here at Tiddlywinks we have a full time chef who prepares all of our meals and snacks on site from fresh, locally bought produce. All of the meat is delivered fresh from a local butcher and the fruit and vegetables delivered daily. The chef prepares the food on a 4 weekly rota to ensure the children get a mixed and varied diet.
For our smallest customers we provide a separate baby room which accommodates up to 12 babies. Within the room there is a spacious playroom with a separate sleep area, nappy changing facilities and a kitchen for the preparation of babies' milk. Our main kitchen will prepare fresh food on a daily basis to suit individual children's needs, including purees, fingers foods and will cater for any allergies.
The Daring Discoverer's is located on the ground floor of the main building of the nursery alongside the toddler room (Active Adventurer's). The aim of the Daring Discoverer's is to allow the children an area in which they can move around freely, safely and in which they can start to discover the different environments through various activities which are both child and adult led.
The Active Adventurer's room is situated on the ground floor of the nursery and caters for up to 14 children on a daily basis. The room is a large open plan space with all the facilities accessible to the children, enabling them to choose what activity they would like to do.
All the equipment and materials in the room accessible to the children are at the correct level of development for the Adventurer children and provide them with challenges to further their development within the Early Years Foundation Stage.The Active Adventurer's have unlimited access to all areas in the room such as, Construction, Maths, ICT, Small world, dressing up and Sand/Water.
