We are an established nursery with an excellent reputation, based in Heworth, York. We provide full day care for 50 children between the ages of 0 and 5 years and we accept babies from the age of 3 months.

Services
Personal/emotional welfare by providing a safe and secure environment for all children, valuing them as individuals, and by providing them with opportunities to express their feelings and respond to the actions of others. We also aim to encourage in the group as a whole, a sense of family and belonging.
We will provide a warm secure environment, which will enable each child to develop personally, socially and emotionally. Children will be valued and respected as individuals and encouraged to do the same for others. Children will have access to a broad and balanced curriculum, which will promote their overall development.
Planning throughout the Nursery is based on Government Guidelines detailed in the Early Years Foundation Stage document and covers children aged from birth to five years. It states that, Every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their potential. A child's experience in the early years has a major impact on their future life chances.
We hope that if you have any suggestions or concerns you will always feel able to come and discuss them with us. If you feel your concern is not resolved then you have the right to raise the matter with Ofsted, who can be contacted at Early Years Ofsted, 3rd Floor, royal Exchange Buildings, St Anne's Square, Manchester M2 7LA.
Each half day session includes a snack if required, and offers a variety of healthy options. We do not prepare cooked meals on the premises and parents are required to supply their child's midday meal. This gives parents the opportunity to provide their child with a nutritious meal of their choice, which they know their child will eat and enjoy.

My little girl started Daisy Chain at 11 months. Everyone helped make my transition back tom work so much easier. It's literally like home from home and they have been the catalyst in shaping her into the strong independent girl she is today.
She turned 4 in August and left Daisy Chain preschool and started reception at our local school, she is thriving and I honestly think it's because of how she have been looked after and nutured by everyone at nursery.
My 5 month old is already on the waiting list for next year, there's no other place I would want her to go. Thank you everyone 🌼

We first used Daisy Chain in 2015 when our son turned 9months, he loved his time there and made some great friends who he then moved onto primary school with. In 2018 when we found it we were expecting again we had no hesitation in using Daisy Chain , our daughter was booked in from the 20week scan! She is now nearly 3 and is currently in Tweenie room, she absolutely loves it. She has made some lovely friends and you can see how much fun she’s having through the videos sent on the capture app. The staff are so lovely and friendly and very approachable. We chose Daisy Chain for our son back in 2016 when he was 13 months and remained there went until he left for Primary school. Daisy Chain have been absolutely fantastic we certainly had no hesitation when it was time to send our daughter in 2018 who is now in Tweenies. We really like their whole ethos, they treat every child is an individual, finding out their strengths and also work on how to build on areas which may be out of the child’s comfort zone. Both my children have been/are very happy at the nursery and love all the staff. My daughter will ask when she wakes up if she is going to nursery
