Newick Preschool has been running for 50 years and has a well-earned place in the heart of the community. Situated at the centre of the village in the Old Reading Rooms, we believe in providing a safe and supportive environment that allows children to take their first learning steps through meaningful play. We currently have spaces available for 2-5 year olds and accept funded hours.
Services
4. Just before your child is due to start, we will send out a 'Welcome Pack', which has all the relevant information and forms for you to sign and return when your child starts. If at any point you have any questions or would like to visit the pre-school, please do not hesitate to contact us on 07788 603 633.
We will provide you with an invoice at the beginning of each term. This can be paid by BACS, cheque or cash. We also accept child care vouchers including Care 4, Acco, Busybees and Co-op, but please let us know of you are a member of a different scheme as it is easy for us to register with any new scheme.
First days can be nerve-racking for the children and you, so here is what will happen and some advice. Newick Pre-School is situated on a country road, you may park on the road (pre-school side) but parking is tight so if you can walk to us all the better! Once parked, walk along the pavement to the black gate and come straight through; the wooden gate will be shut until we are ready to open just before 9am.
It's always difficult to know exactly what to bring when you take your child to childcare for the first time, so we thought we'd make it a little bit easier for you by making a list! Packed lunch - in a named lunch box/bag (if your child is attending a morning session) Please include an ice pack. Take a look at our healthy eating section if you would like any guidance on what to include in your child's packed lunch.
A copy of the pre-school's policies are always available to view in the entrance of the pre-school, we also have loan copies available for you to take home to read. Please ask a member of staff if you require assistance.
The pre-school's policies help us to make sure that the service provided by the pre-school is a high quality one and that being a member of the pre-school is an enjoyable and beneficial experience for each child and their parents. The staff and parents of the pre-school work together to adopt the policies and they all have the opportunity to take part in the annual review of the policies.

Both of my children have loved their time at Newick Pre-School. The team are warm, friendly and always go the extra mile. They treat every child as an individual and work closely with each child to help them realise their potential in a supportive and nurturing environment. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Thank you Newick Pre-School team!

My daughter, thanks to the start she had at this pre-school, has loved her first year at Primary School. She had known most of her reception class since she was two and a half. Is confident to play, open to learn and happy to ask for help when necessary. Thank you Newick Pre-School, you nurtured my child in a way I could have only dreamt possible.
