Tiger Cubs Pre-School is a registered charity and is run by an elected committee. We are associated with All Saints Church, Lindfield and offer equal opportunities for all, welcoming children from any ethnic or religious background. We are committed to child-centred learning and provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment where children can grow and develop as individuals.
We maintain a high ratio of adults to children, ensuring individual attention to the needs and development of each child. Our staff are caring, qualified and experienced and all hold relevant certificates in paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene. All our staff have an Enhanced DBS check.

Services
Our core morning sessions run from 9am to 12pm Monday to Friday. During these sessions the children enjoy free play as they explore the resources and activities within the setting. They also participate in group activities, games and stories, as well as playing outside. A very popular part of the morning is snack time!
We believe strongly in the importance of play and learning through fun, recognising the importance of positive relationships and an enabling environment. Children are given plentiful opportunities and time to play and explore independently and with peers, and also experience a variety of activities.
At Tiger Cubs, we are registered to take children from two years old. However, we place particular importance on children starting at Tiger Cubs when they are ready and confident to be part of a pre-school setting. This is different for every child as they are all individuals. Most of our children start when they are around two and a half years old, however, some join us nearer the age of two, and others nearer age three.
How does the Tiger Cubs Pre-School know if children need extra help and what should I do if I think my child may have special educational needs or disabilities? At Tiger Cubs, all staff build positive relationships with the children, interacting with them in play and observing their interests.
Each child is allocated a key person who carries out ongoing observations and assessments which are linked to the stages of development in the EYFS Development Matters. This then enables the key person to identify any areas in which children may not be meeting developmental milestones, which they will then discuss with the SENCO, as well as with the parents/carers.

Couldn't be happier with the service the fantastic team provide. The spacious hall provides ample play space for the kids, as well as the outdoor play area. Our daughter has loved going every day and never hesitated to go in. We cannot thank Clare and her team enough!

I couldn't have asked for a better environment for my youngest daughter to attend. This is the most incredible pre-school my children have ever attended and I love what a caring, nurturing and kind environment it is for the children. We moved to the area from Hove where my girls had hated and attended much more 'nursery' type settings. At Tiger Cubs my youngest found her second home. An engaging day, with activities that inspired her, with staff that genuinely cared for her well-being. She ran in every single day and bounced out at the end of every day too, brimming with happiness. The staff are

My son attended Tiger Cubs for a year before school, after a previous nursery closed. He is very shy but he settled in quickly and made friends without any problems. The staff get to know the children as individuals, with different needs and are flexible and friendly. The setting is a large spacious hall which gives the children lots of freedom and the afternoon sessions are fantastic. Thank you all ever so much.

Although she started as one of the youngest in the setting my daughter has flourished. She runs in and doesn’t look back. She comes home chatting about her day and on the days when she’s not attending she talks about when she’s next going in. She utterly adores it. The staff are kind and the activities are truly engaging. They’re an example of how to run an excellent pre-school.
