The eye examination lies at the heart of our practice and we are proud to offer appointments of 40 minutes to both private and NHS patients. We are happy to accept new patients at any time, of any age. At Bradford we are also a registered practice on the local Glaucoma Monitoring Scheme. Benefitting from our Optometrist providing all contact lens appointments we are able to offer an exceptionally high standard of contact lens care.

The examination is the most important part of any visit to the opticians. A thorough examination provides an insight not only into your vision and ocular health but also gives an important view into your general health as a whole. This is why we allow at least 40 minutes for every examination, many cases simply can't be rushed.
We are pleased to be able to offer patients contact lenses to suit every eye. We can cover a huge range of prescriptions and needs including single vision and multi focal prescriptions, toric lenses for astigmatic patients, bespoke made to measure lenses for those trickier prescriptions and even cosmetic lenses to make a real impression with.
We know that everyone loves to find the perfect frame that looks and feels just right. To help match you to your dream spectacles we keep over 500 frames in stock and have access to thousands more. We cater for all tastes and prices; with chic designer names and latest trends from the capital and the continent.
We can cater to all lens needs and are always happy to give quotes on any lens type or form. Straight forward single vision lenses, bifocals, varifocals and high powered lenses are all available. Anti-reflection coatings, tints of all colours and the latest photochromic (colour changing) technology (Transitions and Sunsensors) can be added if required.
Over the last couple of years we have massively increased our range of glasses for kids big and small. We've got loads of comfy and hard wearing specs for the little ones and are happy to fit children of any age. These days most kids seem to love glasses but even those who aren't sure will be impressed by our colourful character frames, for the girls there's Disney princess, Frozen, Peppa Pig and loads of pretty and sparkly specs.

Wow! Just wow! My kids are 'free range' at best and probably more accurately described as feral. But Mr Smith is some sort of child whisperer! The kids are 2 and 3.5 and he conducted very thorough eye tests on both of them, easily, and gently, with lots of humour and encouragement. I was massively impressed with how he worked differently with them both to persuade them to do what he needed them to. My kids think they've had a fabulous adventure, and I'm happy that they've had an accurate eyetest.

Absolutely fantastic. What a great guy Mr Smith is. My 3 year old was very anxious as has had 2 very traumatic visits to a leading opticians. He eased her anxiety and gained her trust as soon as we set foot in the door. I fully recommed him to anyone with small children. I think ill book myself in too as the leading chain store has totally lost my trust.. Thank you Alan. Shes counting down to 6 months. She loves Kirsty on reception too. Tinkerbell rules. 😀😀😀
