Peter Smith & Son Funeral Directors are proud to be a fully independent funeral directors with family values at its heart and over 40 years' experience. We're a member of The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF). Peter is our principle Funeral Director, and has been working in the funeral industry for over 30 years.
Here at Peter Smith & Son we know that every funeral is unique and so each funeral is priced individually. Below is a list of our charges. In addition to these charges there will be external payments (Disbursements) that we will pay on your behalf. These include such fees as Crematoria, Doctors, Clergy, Church and Cemeteries etc.

I could not recommend Peter Smith & Son more highly. Sean made sure everything went smoothly for my mothers funeral with no added stress (unlike my fathers funeral which we entrusted to another local funeral director whose only interest was how much money they could drain from us) Nothing was too much for Sean and his team which made this harrowing time easier to cope with. Thank you all so much for the loving care you gave all of my family on the death of my Dad. Nothing was too much trouble. The respect given to Dad was just wonderful. I felt like I was the only client you had all through the arrangements and during the funeral. My mother died on Oct 24th 2020 after two very traumatic weeks in Hospital, so when choosing a Funeral Director, I was looking for someone who could guide me and my family through the whole procedure with as little stress as possible. A professional and caring service given with organising my Mums funeral recently and previously our baby daughters funeral. We highly recommend this family run directors , nothing was too much trouble for them, and the funeral went perfectly !! It also has a lovely new chapel of rest too which has a comforting environment.
