Mainsgill Farm Shop & Tea Room
Located 4 miles from Scotch Corner, heading west on the A66 in North Yorkshire, Mainsgill Farmshop & Tearoom is popular with local residents and passing travellers alike! Whether it's a quick pit-stop during your travels, a hearty home-cooked family meal, or even a weekly shop; Mainsgill is sure to have something for every member of the family to enjoy.

Selling our own traditionally home reared meats, Mainsgill Farm Shop North Yorkshire is a 'real' farmshop offering a shop floor to our livestock farm.
Services
Being a young couple setting up, we were highly mortgaged and with a downturn in all sectors of the farming industry through BSE, Blue Ear, etc., it was a difficult time. Highly mortgaged, increasing debts and ever decreasing cash flow, we had to find a way to survive and repay our debts. Situated 4.5 miles west of Scotch Corner adjacent to the main Trans-Pennine route, we had an ideal position to set a farm shop up.
Our heifers are currently bought in at 6 months of age from local farmers within a few miles of Mainsgill Farm. We choose heifers because they produce the best beef. In 2015 we welcomed Billy the bull to our farm, an 18 month old pedigree Limousin. In the future we are looking to breed our own calves from him, so we have selected the very best heifers for Bill to breed with.
Git Voucher for two people to visit our tearoom and enjoy an afternoon tea overlooking the pastures of the Holmedale Valley. Afternoon Tea includes a pot of tea, or filter coffee per person. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, side garnish of salad and crisps, cream scone, meringue nest and a victoria sponge.
Brimming with a vast selection of our own home produce quality foods, and the finest local & British foods around. Our granary food hall centres round our unique showcase counter featuring our award-winning home-reared meats, delicatessen and award-winning bakery. Our latest expansion was completed late 2014 with 10,000 sq foot dedicated to retail over two floors.
Located on the first floor of our granary building, our gift shop is brimming with treasures to suit every taste. Whether you're looking for a gift or simply browsing for yourself, you're sure to find something perfect. We stock a whole host of ranges in our gift shop, including beautiful crockery and pottery, soft furnishings such as cushions, throws, blankets and rugs, and kitchenware to spruce up even the most drab worktops.

Visited here as my husband had seen you in instragram and boy you didn't disappoint, we had a browse and lunch whilst there and brought meat, cakes, alcohol and other bits home. The meat we brought is phenomenal the steaks to dies for, the lamb steak so tasty and not fatty, the pork loin I've been told was the best my mums ever had, the chocolate and coffee cakes were lush. The burgers are in competition with the ones we had in America. Everything is just amazing, the only bad thing is we live 2&a half hours away! 😁

Was really looking forward to our visit, drove for an hour. ordered full breakfast £7.95 which I don't mind paying, if it was nice. undercooked bacon with rubbery thick rind, 1 shrivelled up sausage, cold mushrooms and a snotty egg, you don't even get to butter your own toast, nasty margarine put on for you. extra for tea and coffee. I felt like… throwing it back a bit like the girl dropped it on our table for us. Had planned to buy lots of meat and veg etc. all disgustingly overpriced even for farm shop prices. I shall stick to Keelham farm in future. big mistake thinking a change
