Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your appointment time. We aim to run on time, however if your appointment will be delayed by more than 15 minutes we will try to contact you at the earliest opportunity. We operate a 48 hour cancellation policy as standard for all our therapists. If you are unable to make your appointment, please notify us or your therapist at least 48 hours in advance.

It has a beautiful ambience, and each therapy room is a peaceful space that is really clean and relaxing. Marie-Louise is by far and away the best masseuse I have ever come across and I have had hundreds and all over the world.
Acupuncture is a core part of Traditional Chinese Medicine which has been practiced for thousands of years. Fine needles are inserted into various points on the body. There are many forms of Acupuncture and each can be used to treat different conditions. Below are some of they types of Acupuncture offered at Laura Ryan Therapies.
Sometimes called a 'Swedish Massage, 'Classic Massage' or 'Full Body Massage', a Holistic Massage is the standard style of massage and forms the basis for many other types of treatment. The key difference is that Holistic Massage doesn't use the more intensive or aggressive techniques such as elbows and knuckling.
A vacuum is created inside a cup, typically made of glass but sometimes plastic is used, which is then placed on the skin. The suction caused by the vacuum lifts the tissue beneath, and the cup is then moved along the muscle to release tension and knotting. It is very popular with many of our customers and is one of the more intensive treatments we offer.

I just wanted to add that I had such a warm welcome from all of the staff at the studio, and was made to feel at home as soon as I walked through the door. I am very fussy about where I go for things like haircuts, beauty treatments and massages. I was recommended a visit to Laura Ryan Therapies by a number of people which made me feel comfortable that I was in good hands.

Five stars! If you want someone who actually knows what they are doing then go here. Professional and a great place to visit, real attention to detail with the oils, heat and music, plus lovely teas afterwards.
The best way to explain leaving this place is like being a puppet held up by tight strings and when you leave it’s like those strings have been cut and you are loose and free.

Yvonne is the most fantastic acupuncturist and Chinese medicine person! She has improved my cycle (for fertility) immensely but more importantly has improved my overall well-being. With the first session I could physically and mentally feel such a drastic difference. I had more energy, more motivation, more positivity and more of an overall sense of well being than I’ve had in a long time. Herbie, one of the owners, is also fantastic. A great conversationalist whilst I wait for my appointment and truly committed to his clients, he even calls me if there’s a train disruption so I can plan ahead

After a bad back plaguing me for months I went to Laura Ryan to see if the issues could be remedied with a massage. A booking was swiftly made and I was also given a reminder text (always handy). On the day I was so impressed by Laura and not only her diagnostic work but the following deep tissue massage. You could feel the good work done instantaneously and four nights on and you can really feel the benefits. She was thoughtful and gave extremely good advice throughout to help as I continue to shed the pain I've been getting. I can't recommend enough.

Rung up to book a Sports Massage and spoke to a gentlemen who tried to book me into a different service. He kept trying to book me in with a Deep Tissue massage therapist. I pointed out that I don't want a deep tissue I want a sports massage to work on an injury. He then told me that they are the same thing. Wrong on so many levels.
I then had to point out that the 2 are very different treatments and the qualifications are also very different and the understanding of what you need to do is different. I am a Sports Massage Therapist myself and knew he was lying to me and I had to explain the differences

I would definitely recommend! I had a sports massage with Marie-Louise who was lovely, friendly and very skilled. She tailored the session to my particular needs and areas of tension and also worked on areas I hadn't even realised I was carrying tension.
Herbie was also really friendly and helpful at helping find a massage therapist that could offer what I was looking for at a time that was convenient for me. The treatment room was lovely, and the whole experience was very positive. So pleased to have this place just round the corner. This is definitely the best massage I've had in a long time

Laura is the most skilled massage therapist I've ever seen - and I've seen quite a few! I'd recommend her in a heartbeat. She's super knowledgeable, friendly and professional. After only 3 massage & acupuncture treatments, she has helped me regain mobility that I'd thought was lost for good, and significantly reduced my pain. The treatment rooms in Norwood Junction are lovely, and very close to the train station so ultra convenient.
