Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness Club is a not for profit Community Amateur Sports Club, providing racquet sport facilities for all. It is one of the most successful badminton and squash venues in the country and also provides gym facilities. It has around 1,000 members drawn from the local community and also provides facilities to many local schools and to disability groups.
The Pro Shop is run as a service for members, offering a range of quality goods at competitive prices, backed up with expert advice. The club's coaches have access to a small range of demo rackets which can be trialled on request. This is an excellent way of trying before you buy and helping with your choice of the right equipment.
My name is Richard Egan, I have been a member of WRFC since 1991. Over the years I have played badminton for the club and county and have recently taken up squash. I joined the board as a director last year and have since become the Chairman. I am a Chartered Surveyor with over twenty-five years' experience, most recently as Director of Property for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The Wimbledon Squash Club is a great place to meet new people, improve your skills and to burn off energy. We have around 400 squash players. There's a real mix of standards with some playing in one of our six Men's teams in the Surrey Cup, or the box leagues, or indeed just enjoying a knock around on the court with their friends.

The club has decent facilities specially the squash court 1 and 2 are very well maintained. I highly recommend Phil for coaching he is very professional, friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. The club has very competitive players of all ages and background. Generally the staff is very friendly the only place club need to invest more is towards GYM facilities. But overall I recommend it

I used to be a member. It's quite costy but they have all the facilities. Sauna, clean and modern changing room, good quality court! They provide feather shuttles which is a must for a good game. (And they don't paint the walls white, so you can actually see the shuttle!!).
They should have the option for membership without the gym as I never been in there but I needed to pay for that...

I used to play quite a bit of tennis when I was younger but then I got older. A while back I decided that maybe I'd quite like to take it up again but on a smaller court, where I could have a few drinks either before or after and not be completely and utterly destroyed for days. Things had got bad with the fitness and the tennis.
So that's when I decided that badminton might be the answer. After considering the options in the local area I dragged a friend down to one of their open sessions on a Sunday evening. It's £10 for about two hours and if you're new you get lessons
