Tolleshunt D'arcy Pre School
Tolleshunt D'Arcy Pre-school is an Ofsted 'Good' rated pre-school serving the D'Arcy community and surrounding areas of Tollesbury, Tolleshunt Knights, Tolleshunt Major, Goldhanger, Tiptree and beyond. Set in the lovely grounds of the village primary school, we provide a fun, safe and stimulating learning environment for 2-5 year olds for up to 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

Funding is available, subject to eligibility. Everyone is welcome to attend our pre-school, so please feel free to contact us and arrange to come along with your child for a visit. We use a "Wow Apple" to enable us to share and celebrate the children's achievements and learning when at home. This is shared as a group activity before the children go home at 12 noon and 3.00 pm.

Tolleshunt D'Arcy Playgroup was set up in 1976 in Tolleshunt D'Arcy village hall by a committee of local volunteers to provide a Pre-school experience for village children between the ages of 2 and 5; from there it has evolved and developed into its current form which aims to provide all the facilities of modern pre-school while retaining the essential aspects of a community run service.
We will follow this interest by: Our home corner has become a supermarket. We will be naming lots of fruit and vegetables that we see on our shopping lists and then putting them into our trolleys and baskets. We will also become cashiers, using the credit card machine and money in the tills to take money and give change.
Once your child is offered a place and you accept it, further personal information and family details are required for our records. If you find that you no longer need the place, please inform us as soon as possible. Only a parent/guardian with parental responsibility for a child can register that child for a childcare place with us.
The aim of this document is to enable families to see the support that they would receive for their child/ren in our setting. It will provide clear information about what we already have in place to enable each child to achieve to their full potential, as well as offer reassurance in that we value each child as being unique and endeavour to meet their individual needs.
