I feel very privileged to be part of the St Peter's community. We have such great learners, parents, community groups and an amazing locality. How many schools can boast they have a beach, river and heathland on their doorstep? How many schools still have a swimming pool? We have high academic standards, superb musical opportunities and a wealth of sports clubs and activities.
St Peter's is first and foremost a caring school which has high academic standards, superb musical opportunities and a wealth of sports clubs and activities. St Peter's School has grown significantly over the last few years as more and more families have come to appreciate our rich curriculum, happy atmosphere, dedicated staff and ever-improving results.
We are determined to maintain the school's Christian vision of 'Growing together in mind, body and spirit', providing a loving and nurturing environment where all can flourish. The 'mind' is the 'written curriculum', where we aim to develop knowledge, reading, writing and mathematics.

We deliver the National Curriculum for all subjects, with a particular focus on giving pupils a deep understanding and the ability to apply themselves using their literacy skills. The written curriculum includes our knowledge-rich literacy curriculum. We intend for our children to be playful, curious and engaged learners who then apply their knowledge independently with creative freedom.
Please ensure you read it before you start working with children in the school. Contractors must sign and adhere to further conditions, and only begin work with the permission of the Site Supervisor. Read this document and sign in to agree show you agree with and understand the contents of this booklet.
Our children learn best when they show high levels of energy and fascination so we take our direction from their interests, encouraging them to be curious individuals who can take risks, bounce back and challenge themselves to grow and learn. If our children are highly engaged in activities that are fun, there will be high attainment.
