We believe that by working closely with you and your child we ensure the very best start to their education. Our philosophy is based around the development of children to be able to integrate in the wider world with confidence. I am sure your child will love being here at Marpool and we look forward to teaching them and sharing our fantastic facilities.
Our website is designed to give you a flavour of what goes on at Marpool, but no website is a substitute for seeing us in action- please arrange a visit and see for yourself all we have to offer. We are looking for financial support to finish building the Avocet Learning Trust Resource Base that will serve some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Services
Marpool Primary School is a government funded two form entry state school in the vibrant town of Exmouth. We also have a wonderful teacher-led nursery and a Resource Base overseen by our specialist team. There are currently 460 children at Marpool. Our school is situated on an extensive and attractive site that offers exceptional educational opportunities.
Normally, we would welcome parents and carers to visit our school and see it in action. Getting a feel for the ambience, energy and rhythms of a school is important when choosing the right school for your child. Due to the current restrictions, we invite you to watch a video that gives you a snapshot of what we offer.
It is our aim to provide for all our pupils a high quality education leading to achievement and success across the full primary curriculum and to develop in all children personal qualities and standards to enrich their later lives. We expect our work to create an effective partnership between home, school and the wider community; a relationship that has the needs of the child at its heart.
School governors provide strategic leadership and accountability in schools. Governors appoint the Executive Head, Head of School and Assistant Heads. Governors hold the main responsibility for finance in schools, and it is the governors who work with the headteacher to make the tough decisions about balancing resources.
In the event of an inspection, a range of documents are currently available via this site. We invite the HMI / Lead Inspector to view the documents here. Please contact our school for further clarification or information as required. This information is intended to provide clarity and transparency to pupils and parents or carers about what to expect from remote education if local restrictions require entire cohorts (or bubbles) to remain at home.
