David Faulder Opticians is a unique, independent practice situated at Troy Court on Kensington High Street, close to Holland Park. David Faulder has practised on Kensington High Street since the 1980s and his team of optometrists and dispensing opticians is dedicated to giving you the highest standards of professional eye care.
Although the practice has been established for many years, it has a very progressive approach to optics within modern and air-conditioned surroundings. Open seven days a week, with an in-house laboratory, we are able to provide same day service on many glasses and contact lenses. We have over 30 years experience in repairing, customising and building frames in our workshop.

Services
David Faulder Opticians stock a wide range of designer frames from leading names. We can also produce bespoke, handmade frames in our in-house laboratory. If you have a particular favourite which is now out of production, bring it in and we will copy it or work with you to produce a custom design for your requirements.
David Faulder Opticians stock a wide range of designer sunglasses. All lenses have a 100% UV filter and many can be made to your prescription. We also have a specialist range of sunglasses for sailing, skiing, fishing and mountaineering. Rayban sunglasses now come in a variety of lens colour options, as well as the traditional G15 green, and can also be made to a wide range of prescriptions including single vision and multifocals.
Give us a call or drop in and one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff will discuss your requirements and book you an appointment. All types of lenses are available but most people opt for the 'dailies', if possible, which can be worn for a day, then thrown away. Dailies are easy to wear, easy to handle and very economical.
David Faulder Opticians stock a wide variety of children's frames from very young toddlers to teens. Ranges include Flexon and Rayban. All of these frames are tough and durable yet with modern styling to suit all tastes. Our team has been looking after generations of families for over 30 years and can help schedule eye tests and fittings for everyone on the same day or to fit your family schedule.
If you use a VDU for work e.g. PCs, laptops and other digital displays, you are entitled to a free eye test from your employer. This can be in the form of a voucher or by simply claiming the cost back from the employer. Should glasses be required solely for VDU use, then the employer must contribute an agreed amount towards the cost.

My son sat on his only pair of glasses and bent the handles from the hing .
It was Sunday and he was about to go on a week long school trip on Wednesday!
We rushed in and the 2 ladies there were beyond helpful - they explained the risk that if they tried to straighten it may break the handle . But we’re will to give it a go as long as we were okay with it . They were busy so we left the glasses . Bless they worked on the glasses and slowly fixed them . Pheeew 👍🏽👏👏👏
In my experience most others wouldn’t have tried to fix as they they won’t take the risk .

My first ever google review. I had to write this. In the last 10 years I’ve bought a pair of glasses every year. 10 different opticians and never been back to the same one twice. But I’ve found David Faulder now with his knowledgable staff and fantastic ranges and I’m going nowhere else. Getting glasses was always a chore never a pleasure all that has changed as I enjoyed a very personal shopping experience. For less or more than a pound a day for something you have to wear every day you can’t do better. From the range of glasses to range of glass in the glasses you could ask for no more

I've been going to David's for about 9 years now and wouldn't ever go anywhere else. Service from all the staff is always second to none and David helped me finally get comfortable with contact lenses, something several previous opticians couldn't manage! The whole team are obviously very knowledgeable and always give a thorough eye health check each time, keeping photo records from each visit to track how your eyes are getting along. Well done all

I have been using David Faulders for years and I absolutely love it. They have impeccable service with lovely friendly staff! They always have the latest and trendiest frames and the best quality of lenses. The one thing I love about visiting this particular opticians is that I always get amazing advice from the staff, they don't try sell me things for the sake of it. I would recommend everyone to use David Faulders as their opticians!
