Giorgio's Italian Restaurant
We aim to offer the finest Italian food & drink, from fresh pastas, pizzas baked in the Neapolitan way and some beautiful chef specialities such as fillet of beef, veal, poultry & fish. Although we cater for large groups in the restaurant, we also have a private dining room that is available for groups up to 25 people.

Check out our gallery to see how Giorgio is the perfect, intimate setting for your meal, celebration or other. We visited the restaurant on 13/9/80 and from start to finish we could not have had been treated better. We had meat balls for starters and cheesy garlic bread. Then pastas and risotto for main and yummy desserts.

Although we got missed and I had to see the manager to put our order in on an incredibly busy night. He went above and beyond. The staff were so apologetic and sincere. Food was delicious. So glad we booked in here. They discounted our bill which was unnecessary so we tipped them to cover this. Short staffed, yes. Customer service second to none. Well done Giorgios

Originally booked for their other restaurant 'Gio' but moved to 'Giorgio' due to unforseen circumstances however we received free bottle of wine and garlic bread.
Resturant was very nice and clean. There was hand sanitizer at the entrance, on every table and at top of the stairs leading from the toilets. Staff were awesome; polite, entertaining and couldn't do enough to ensure are night was a good night.
Food was excellent, not been out for food in city centre for along time so can't compare prices with other restaurants in the city but I thought it was worth the cost. Even though they were very

Not at all what I expected. I never actually got given a menu but I suppose they were quite busy so I just searched up their menu online.
When taking my order I was rushed. I said 1 dish and even though I wanted to order more, the waiter just walked away.
When the food arrived, other staff were really nice and polite but my food was disappointing. For the price it was, the portion was extremely small and I recieved my food on a cracked cold plate, leaving my food pretty cold too.

Great place and has been for many years. Great food and service, I was there recently after years of being away and I was not disappointed.
An excellent pre theatre/concert menu and a great selection of wine and spirits. Very friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. Tram, bus and train stops within easy walking distance and it’s on the same block as the palace theatre.
It’s great for groups of family and friends and for a more intimate dining experience for you romantic types.
It’s down a few steps so those with poor mobility may struggle and Jive Bunny and Stars On 45 provided

We went to Giorgio's for dinner when visiting Manchester. It is safe to say it was the best Italian meal we had in a while. We ordered a calzone and the meatballs and pasta. They were both delicious. Also, the staff were amazing and very friendly. It was a lovely atmosphere for dinner. We would definitely visit again when in Manchester.

Had the pre-theatre set menu. The chicken wings were good, but the steak was amazing. Cooked perfectly rare with a fantastic peppercorn sauce that complemented the meat without overpowering it. Highly recommended.

From the moment you walk into the restaurant the guys are very welcoming and put you at ease.
The food was very nice, prices were about right but as I said the service was fantastic!
I would definitely recommend for either a lunch or evening meal in their very relaxed and comfortable environment. Thank you!

I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. From the offset the service was highly attentive.

Complimentary bread , olives and dipping oil were first served . I can take or leave olives but these were so moreishly flavoured.

The menu consists of the usual Italian segments. Meat, fish , pizzas and pasta. The Meat and fish were really pricey so for starters I opted for a antipasti without the bread for and a seafood risotto for mains.

My friends ordered a garlic bread to share and pate while I scoffed the antipasti which consisted of various parmaham, artichoke, prawn salad, cheese and

I visited this restaurant by chance, I was strolling my way back to my hotel when I thought "hmm, I'll see what this place is like" and I am glad I did!
The place was a loud and warm but this was to be expected as it was heaving. Despite this they were still glad to accommodate me, all the staff were extremely friendly and polite. Each in their own way help tailor the experience to be personal and enjoyable.
The starter and dessert were beautifully presented, whilst my main was incredible in taste. I'm an avid foodie, I eat more than the average buffalo should but the food here filled me up nicely

The food is good and I would come back again, but I thought the service was a bit slow. We had lobster ravioli and an appetizer. Perhaps good food just takes longer sometimes.

This place is far more expensive than necessary and the quality of the food is just average. My calamari were definitely frozen and the tiny little fluff of salad mix on the plate with them turned out to BE my insalata mista, after I asked them to cancel the salad ---they were nice and went ahead and "canceled" it, but I saw another one delivered without the lettuce, and realized that they had already given me my salad. The salad cost as much is the appetizer and was the tiniest I've seen. The scallops were tiny, though well cooked, the mashed potatoes were bland, the pana cotta

So much to chose from! When you first look at the menu, there are so many choices of pizzas and pastas. We got there early so was able to take advantage of the 2 course menu that was around £12. My group started out with garlic bread and olives. It was the first time I had it half where it was garlic mozzarella and the other half with a marinara pesto sauce.

For the first course, I had the BBQ chicken wings. It was okay, I thought the sauce was a little too sweet but admit it was huge. For the main I had the pizza mafiosa and that was delicious! I wasn't sure how all the toppings

Why aren't people reviewing this great little place?!

Situated just round the corner from The Palace Theatre, Giorgio is a wonderful Italian restaurant that promises great food for a very reasonable fare. It's prime location makes it the ideal place to eat before an evening show, but I would recommend everyone to take advantage of their Pre-Theatre Menu. Just £10.95 (before 6.45PM) for a two-course meal, served by friendly and attentive staff! Pittance, I tell you!

I had the Mozzarella Caprese (fresh mozzarella, fresh tomato, green pesto and olives), and my mum had the garlic mushrooms

We ended up at this restaurant completely by accident. Somebody had recommended Don Giovanni's to me, but I'd just remembered that it was at the end of Oxford Street and had an Italian sounding name (my hair isn't even that blonde), so we found ourselves in Giorgio, just across the road.

The restaurant has more of an Italian feel to it than pseudo-Italian restaurants such as Felicini, and the staff were Italian too, which added to the air of authenticity. Prices are pretty standard - ranging from £6.50 for a margarita (but who orders a margarita?!) to £17.50 for the sea bass

This restaurant is slighty pricier than other you may find in Manchester City Centre, but what you are paying for is quality, the retaurant is very clean and well presented. The food is very delicious and the portions are generous. You never wait long for a table even if the restaurant is packed, and the waiting area is lovely. The waiting staff are italian, very genuine, helpful, and very friendly. Its a very nice place to go with family, but also a lovely setting for a romantic meal. 100% recommended.

Giorgio is an Italian restaurant located right in the centre of Manchester. This restaurant confused me the first time I went as I could not decided if I liked it or not. I have now been 3 times and I can definitely confirm that I like it. At first I was a little concerned as the food was more costly that I anticipated. Once you get over that you can see that the food is really magnificent and enjoyable. I wouldn't really recommend it as a family place, its mainly for couples or groups out to celebrate. The staff were very polite and friendly and the service was very prompt. The restaurant
