Bath Row Medical Practice (BRMP) is an established NHS GP Practice that has served the people of the Lee Bank area of Birmingham for over 70 years. Originally founded by Dr Lawcett, the Practice grew from a single-handed to a group practice (Lee Bank Group Practice) under Dr Brian Colston, who had the vision to bring together a variety of NHS staff to provide care from a purpose-built health centre.
Under the leadership first of Dr Ian Fletcher then Dr David Morgan until 2014 and now Dr Amjad Iqbal, the Practice has continued to grow and develop. Reflecting changes to the local area in recent years, the Practice is now known as Bath Row Medical Practice and has recently moved into brand new premises in which it can continue to expand its expertise and offer enhanced facilities for the patients of inner city Birmingham.

Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control. This booklet is for parents (and older children) and deals with common infections in children who are normally healthy. There is a good guide on the NHS website which describes various conditions affecting children.

I have never known it so difficult to get through to anywhere as it is here! For well over a week now, I have been constantly phoning (I had a week off work last week - but otherwise, phoning around working hours makes it even more difficult). When being put on hold in the queue (listening to tedious music), I have waited, most times, for around 45 minutes. Each time getting down to various positions (4th, 12th, 8th etc) then the phone line cuts me off! The 'one time' I actually spoke to a receptionist - of course there were no appointments not even a phone consultation. The receptionist also made

Worst GP service I have ever had the misfortune to go to: no email communication; nobody picks up any phone; staff very rude; cannot find any online appointments - basically they have you registered but do not provide any service. Most likely they operate like a scam business having completely oversubscribed patient numbers to get government money but don't even try to serve anyone. They should be investigated but nobody seems to care. They probably want you to go private the current government so all good. Disgusting!

The receptionists here are really the most rude and inconsiderate people. When I arrived the man in the queue was trying to deliver a package to Atwood green medical centre - that is literally the other name of this centre - she kept really patronising him saying this wasn’t Atwood green!!! Unbelievable! I needed to speak to someone about an error they have made in coding my vaccinations. I was told I would have to return on another day to speak to the vaccine lady. When I asked the name of that lady I was told they couldn’t give out peoples names. Are you seriously telling me they can’t

Getting through on the phone can be a challenge but its the same everywhere. They do have a phone queue system that others don't have and if all else fails, I just walk round to reception and problem sorted. Very well organised with Covid vaccine, in and out in 20-25 mins including waiting 15 mins after, and the doctors Ive seen were good, or phone appointments handled well.

The receptionist was horribly rude.
I tried to register with the practice 4 weeks ago when I moved to my place in Birmingham.
After waiting for 30 min on the phone to speak to a receptionist, the conversation started by taking my name and DOB and address along with saying that there is no doctor appointment until next day.
Then, I asked to confirm whether I am registered. The receptionist searched again and confirmed that I am not registered yet and would take 4 weeks.
In all fairness she asked whether this is a medical emergency or urgency, which is not and gave me a number to call, which

I've been trying to contact them for two days, but they hang up!I decided to go on the spot and call them in front of them and see how they would react!
But they are so viciously arrogant towards patients that I can't describe it!
I asked them who was taking the calls, and they passed me like a ball, from the first to the third floor and back again!
Then I decided to ask where is the doctor and where are the patients waiting?
I said I would wait all day to see these 15 patients!
But they didn't let you.
I think these people in this hospital are babbling and lying to everyone!
In my opinion

Although not my practice I had to use this medical centre for my vaccination. I felt I needed to compliment you on the young gentleman who was on duty after 12..30pm on 30th September. He was excellent and seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. I must also compliment the young gentleman who did my actual vaccination, he also was excellent and could not not have been more helpful and clear in all the information that he gave me.

I was left on hold for close to 30 minutes (several times) before somebody answered after 10 minutes. I raised my concerns about this wait time with the receptionist who ignored me and proceeded to ask for my details. I explained why I need an appointment and she then went on to say all of the appointments had gone, no surprise there! DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you find some enjoyment in listening to hold music all day!!

The doctors are good - if you can get ahold of them. Had my jab there too, which was a good streamlined process
To get an appointment you have to call when it opens. You have to listen to a whole intro spiel 'if you have chest pain hang up and call 999' etc. Once that is done, normally they have a robot voice saying 'the maximum number of callers has been reached' and then they hang up on you. You have to call back, get hung up on, and just keep at it until you get through. That's all the work you do to wait on hold! Then you wait on hold and are occasionally told your place in the queue.
