The School Of Golf
We are able to offer 1 on 1 coaching and small group coaching upon our immediate return, and we are looking to offer lots of Easter holiday coaching for the juniors. This will be announced on Monday morning 9am across our social media's and through mail shots. The School of Golf Academy is for juniors who are looking to progress from learning to play golf.
Services
PGA Professionals Jack Cole and Matthew Mahoney started the school of golf in early 2015, with the sole aim of trying to produce as many avid golfers as possible. Initially they did this by going into local primary/ secondary schools coaching juniors' tri golf, using plastic clubs and foam balls. This grew significantly and TSOG now teaches in 20+ schools in Essex, particularly in Chelmsford and its surrounding areas.
The School of Golf Academy is for juniors who are looking to progress from learning to play golf. If you are a school in the Chelmsford, Basildon or Southend areas, looking for golf clubs to be run before or after school, please contact us. Matt and Jack have been working with pupils from our school for a number of years now and couldn't be more flexible, patient and understanding.
We are honoured to be able to provide our services across three different venues throughout Essex, please take a look below for more details. The School of golf was first developed and rolled out at Little Channels. It is still our main venue and is where a large majority of the companies coaching takes place.
Whether you are looking for a quick fix or a bespoke development programme we are here to help. The School of Golf provides individual golf lessons to all ages and abilities, with each session tailored to the individuals specific needs. We also provide post lesson analytics including a swing video, allowing you to see your swing first hand, as well as an emailed lesson review from your personal coach.
This programme is aimed at juniors who are looking to develop their golfing ability through learning technical skills and venturing out onto the golf course. These sessions are focused on improvement through both learning drills and playing games. The sessions are always delivered in a fun and enjoyable way.

Really Lovely place to visit for either drinks or food I’ve been going for the past 5 years and have always had a wonderful time
They are also dog friendly
Drinks outside in the summer on the nice new large patio area was lovely , we have also sat in the outside dinner area for lunch and also eaten inside in the restaurant, I couldn’t fault it.
The Staff are always very nice, friendly and helpful the food has been lovely each time we have visited
I would recommend this place and I will be going back some soon

I hadn't played golf for twenty years but decided to start again as my teenage son took an interest. Little Channels is a lovely 9 hole course that is well looked after and although relatively short, the holes are well thought out. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bar/clubhouse provide a range of refreshments. After a couple of months of playing here we decided to become members!

This is a lovely short course for a mid to high handicap player. It's not easy, and uses the natural undulations and dips of the area. You will improve if you play here often enough.

Great little course that offers a bit of a challenge to beginner golfers like me. The driving range, practice green and chipping area are great for practise and the course is very well maintained.
Friendly staff, really good facilities and a lovely course which is challenging in a good way.
My only criticism would be that it gets a bit familiar after a few rounds.

Really enjoy coming to the club; the staff are friendly and helpful regardless if that’s on the phone to book a tee time, at the range / practice facilities or at the bar.
I bring my two young boys once in a while (7yrs and 4yrs) and they love practicing and coming for 9holes in a buggy sometimes with a treat juice after.
I’ve also met some really nice members who’ve played with me as a single and always speak highly of the club.
I’ll be back....

Had afternoon tea which was a treat from my sister in law and nieces for my 60th birthday
Had a beautifully made sandwiches and rolls cakes and also fruit dipped in chocolate,
Sitting outside, but was a few out door heaters above brollys to keep the chill out ...social distancing all taken place ...
The only thing I would say is , it woukd have been nice to have a cushion to sit on, rather then just a wooden bench. And the table cloths (which was plastic had seen better days ...
But the food was lovely and would go back again, and would recommend the afternoon tea waitress was very good ..

Good fun, mix of 3s and 4s, perfect for practicing with the irons and a few chances to drive. Course in good condition with nice greens even in this horrible weather!
