Set in the heart of a traditional English village, The Burstead Golf Club combines an excellent golf course, together with practice facilities and hospitality. Designed by the renowned architect Patrick Tallack in 1993, The Burstead begins at the source of the River Crouch and is set on a classic parkland landscape with adjoining rolling fields, ancient woodland and hedgerows creating a challenging golf course.

Although relatively new, the course already shows maturity beyond its years, with the greens in particular establishing an excellent reputation. For competitive golfers we have a full fixtures list for men, ladies, seniors and juniors, with plenty of time being allowed for social golf.

A daunting tee shot awaits for your first swing of the day. With OOB right and a bunker just short of the ditch left, an accurate shot is a must here. Perfect line is at the bunker to open up the green, longer hitters will favour the carry but beware anything right and you will struggle to save Par.
At The Burstead Golf Club, we pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging all golfers to play together. Men, Ladies, Juniors, Seniors and their guests are all welcome at The Burstead. Our Clubhouse has gained an exceptional reputation for a warm welcome, the Bar and Restaurant offers excellent value snacks and delicious meals prepared from fresh local produce by our Head Chef and his team.

Our club rules and etiquette requirements are there to ensure consistency of standards for all members, guests and visitors to the Burstead Golf Club. We operate a modern, forward thinking dress code. Should you or that of your guest(s), be considered inappropriate then our staff have been instructed to dscreetly bring it to your attention.

The members, club pros and staff are a credit to the club. I joined as a member knowing I could only get 5 months use out of my membership and it has been thoroughly worth it. I did not know anyone playing at the club but would often join people on my way around the course as all members are very friendly and welcoming. The course has been in great condition the entire time I have been a member, especially the greens. Unfortunately for me, I am moving out of Essex but should I return I will endeavour to revisit. Many thanks to the Burstead Golf Club!

This review is for the function area only and not for the golf course. I just attended our works Christmas meal, they were catering for around 60 guests so it was a fairly busy event. The bar staff doubled up as waiters and waitresses and when food was being served it was difficult to get a drink, as all the staff except for one were waiting on tables. One of the guests requested glutton free dishes but unfortunately the staff served him with the same food as the rest of us, fortunately he noticed and the problem was soon rectified. Following that mishap the staff were really good and exceptionally

An excellent venue for holding receptions. My father passed away recently and enjoyed walking in the area, so this was a perfect setting for his funeral reception. The venue was warm and welcoming. The buffet menu was very generous and excellently presented and greatly enjoyed by all. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times.
