Yarburgh Community Preschool provides a safe, secure, stimulating and fun environment for young children to learn through play. We also provide support and friendship to families within the group. We are run by a committee made up of parents and are set in a purpose built premises with a large garden.
Services
Yarburgh Community Preschool accepts children aged 2 to 4 years old. We welcome children with specific needs and support families in partnership with outside agencies. We find that most children settle easier if they start with 2 sessions per week, but parents' wishes are respected. A typical day at Yarburgh will allow your child to experience all aspects of learning through play.
Clothes should be comfortable and suitable for messy play. We endeavour to provide protective clothing for children when they play with messy activities. We also ensure Yarburgh children are provided with and wear hi-visibility jackets when they are outside in the garden and on staff supervised outings.
Children can attend morning, afternoon or both sessions. If attending for the afternoon or staying all day, please ensure that you provide your child with a healthy packed lunch and a named drinks bottle. SS denotes our Stepping Stones sessions on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. This will be offered to your child in the academic year before your child starts school.
The British Government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework sets the standards for learning, development and care of children up to 5 years old. Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
Children learn and develop well in enabling environments in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between staff, parents and carers.Yarburgh's play activities are linked to the areas of development and learning highlighted within the EYFS Framework.

The preschool is located in the building to the rear of the plot, accessed via a passageway to the right hand side of the building facing the road. If you have any concerns or suggestions that may improve our preschool setting, please feel free to discuss them with our Manager or Committee Chair at any time.
