Services
Our mission is to provide protection, support and peace of mind to Catholic Dioceses and Religious Orders through the provision of high quality, comprehensive and cost effective insurance and risk management services. Established in 1975 and owned by the Bishops' Conferences of England & Wales and of Scotland, we are the only Catholic firm of insurance intermediaries in Great Britain.
We provide our clients with an extensive range of services that reflect the breadth of their needs. What sets the Catholic Insurance Service Limited apart is our understanding that, whilst insurance is extremely important, it is not a complete solution for our clients. We offer support and guidance on a wide range of areas including general legal advice from our in-house solicitor and Health & Safety support from our external partners.
Our Insurance Scheme has been developed to ensure that the majority of risks faced by our clients are covered by one insurance package, which includes extensions of cover rarely available in the commercial insurance market. We are also able to assist you, where necessary, in obtaining other insurances which aren't provided as part of the Scheme, such as Motor Fleet or Engineering Insurance.
Although Voluntary Aided schools ('VA schools') are state maintained schools, the buildings occupied by VA schools are usually owned by Dioceses or Religious Orders. To ensure these charitable assets are properly protected against sudden and unforeseen loss or damage, the Catholic Insurance Service Ltd. operates a VA Schools' Property Insurance Scheme, which provides All Risks Property Insurance for VA schools.
