My third time here. Excellent staff, very friendly and very helpful. Bed very comfortable. Food very good. If you are looking for 5 star, go elsewhere. If you are looking for comfort, pleasant surroundings and genuine helpful staff who will give you time to help, inform, or pass the time of day stay here. Already booked for next May.

17th century coach inn. looks like most of the decor still remains, complete with the roughest electrical work I've ever seen in ages, and filthy in places, ( I'm a sparky of 52 years ) staff pleasant but not properly trained and stretched to cover duties, evening meal was entertaining it was like a sit com sketch, food average. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place. Only a few things mentioned, to numerous to fit them all in Return stay not a chance. The owners should be ashamed of them selves

Came back late to find the room we were told wouldn't be available until 3pm hadn't even been cleaned, dirty beds, dirty towels and overflowing bin. No evident night staff so couldn't complain until early morning. Staff went to find Manageress who never appeared and sent a terrified young staff member to hand over refund. A real apology was called for but not received, shockingly bad Management.
