All opticians are not the same, at Crystal Eye Centre our resident optometrist is Anand Gosrani. Anand has over 15 years' worth of clinical and technical experience in optometry, working for both multiple optician chains and independent practices. He also works alongside local GPs as a Croydon Ophthalmology Services practitioner, helping the local community with eye health related conditions.
As part of our commitment to investing in our clinical services, we are pleased to announce that all our private eye examinations now include an OCT scan. Optical Coherence Tomography is an advanced 3D eye scan for people of all ages.
It is similar to an ultrasound; however, OCT uses light waves instead of sound waves to image the different layers of the structures of the front of the eye and back of your eye that are not usually visible on a regular eye exam.The OCT machine captures both a digital photograph and cross-sectional 3D scan of the eye at the same time.

Changed up my chain high street for a smaller independent earlier this year and got a fantastic service. Both Lucy and Anand were helpful, patient while I tried on the many frames, complimentary and guided me through everything.
I broke my glasses very close to Christmas and needed help fast. They were able to turn my order around in a shockingly quick time. I had a contacts eye exam as a back up but it wasn't needed in the end.
In all, I got my eye exam, frames and prescription done. Thank you so much for saving the day :)

My whole experience at Crystal Eye Centre was amazing. From the warm welcome by Melanie to the relaxed and friendly Optician who completed my eye test. There was no pressure to buy from them but I found a great choice of glasses with a range from value to high end. I received a call less than 10 days after my purchase to come and pick them up and they made sure I was happy before I left. I will always use them in future. Great to have such a wonderful eye centre on our doorstep.

Brilliant experience with Crystal Eye Care, very well organised eye-tests for myself and my children. The optician was very attentive. Great with adults and kids alike. They use the latest diagnostic and fitting techniques. Melanie was so helpful and flexible when it came to choosing new frames and talking through the different grades of lenses. My daughter and I are extremely happy with our new glasses and the quality of aftercare. I'm so happy I switched from a chain opticians to a caring local independent.

Had an eye test and bought some new glasses from the wonderful team at the Crystal Eye Centre. So professional and friendly, and totally Covid-safe. The expert assistance from Melanie, who took the care and time to help me choose the right frames, was invaluable, and I am so pleased with my new glasses. An all-round excellent service from this locally-run opticians, and a far better experience than with the national chains. Thank you :)

This is an excellent opticians. The staff are very professional, friendly and really do care about the service they provide. I know my eyes are being looked after. They are also brilliant at helping you choose frames. I am now the proud wearer of frames I'd have never thought about getting but have had loads of compliments about. Win win!

This is the most wonderful place to get your eyes tested. Everyone I have ever dealt with here has been nothing short of lovely. They are so helpful and welcoming and also provide an excellent service. Brilliant communication, excellent customer service and really lovely people! I couldn't ask for more. A million times better than going to some chain - who knew buying glasses could be such a pleasant experience?
