A two-course lunch is prepared and cooked on the premises. Much care is given to providing a balanced and nourishing diet. We cater for vegetarian and other special diets. Babies' food is liquidised. Snacks consist of fresh fruit, savoury or plain biscuits, and at tea-time the children have a selection of sandwiches, fresh fruit and salad vegetables.
If you wish your child to avoid sugary foods, please just let us know. The curriculum that we follow is the Early Years Foundation Stage. We use an Web based tablet program called Eylog to observe, assess, and plan for the children individually. There is a parent app where you can view observations as they are published, along with a diary of their sleep/food/nappies/milk.

Services
We also provide 15 and 30 hours funding for eligible 2 -5 year olds. The government funds for 38 weeks of the year, and we are open for 52, so we stretch the amount to cover the year. We also accept childcare vouchers and the tax free childcare scheme. Fees include all snacks, meals and drinks, with the exception of formula milk.
The Log Cabin is our nearest childrens centre. The Log Cabin is committed to equality, and makes a positive difference to the lives of children and young people who have additional needs or disabilities, or who are in need, by providing exciting and stimulating play opportunities in a safe, caring, inclusive and fun environment.

Absolutely cannot recommend this nursery/play school enough!! I am so thankful that I chose this nursery for my 2 year old as she adores going here - even asks me if she can go on weekends! I am so grateful to all the staff for being so welcoming and nurturing. My daughter benefits so much from going here and learns so much whilst having the best fun. There's always something going on from visits from reptile petting zoos to visits from the police, singing companies children's authors and themed parties. The children often get to go on nature walks which for my child who is extremely outdoorsy

My child joined my Little angels at the same time Chris and Natalie took over. The changes made since they took over are phenomenal! The children are always so happy and supported when they are upset. They are given opportunities to explore their feelings and talk about them. They have such a hands on approach to the nursery and although they own the nursery, they are there every single day which I love as if I ever need to speak to them they are always there.
When joining I was informed of the nature approach the nursery has and this is the reason I signed my daughter up. It was the best approach

My son has attended this Nursey for year & half.
He loves walking in seeing his friends & teachers. On pick up his always so happy that’s his had a great day. He has learnt so much since being there. I love how they have the forest behind and they go there to explore. Lilly the Nursey dog visits and the children just love her especially my Harry. Chris & Natalie do a fantastic job running the Nursey... Katie & Emma are fantastic as well. We moved away from the area and still travel to take Harry here because I didn’t want him going anywhere else.

Ella loves going to nursery since being here the last 2 years and I’m so sad she has to move on to go to school despite being a teacher myself. She has become so much more confident with communicating with both peers and adults despite initially being painfully shy and she adores all of the staff! Her learning has progressed so much and she really enjoys the activities both on and off site which have been so different from other settings. She has visited the library on a bus, been to the farm and pumpkin patch, regularly explores the forest next door to enhance her learning of specific topics

My daughter has attended this nursery for nearly two years. She has flourished in the setting and the strong focus on learning and development through play has developed her in ways I couldn’t imagine. I’m often being corrected by her whilst I’m trying to provide opportunities to learn. I pointed out that a caterpillar turned into a butterfly, but I had failed to mention they first turn into a cocoon!!! She’s three!!!

My daughter attended this nursery for 9 months. I was not told that they bring a dog to the site and the dog mixes around the children. On pickup one day I noticed that the dog had done a poo. I felt if I was not there they would not have been forced to clean up the way they did. At no point did they discuss having animals regularly onsite. This is unacceptable.
Also, I felt they they did not engage my daughter on her learning objectives - it was more of a playtime. I am unhappy with the owners and the way they manage issues that occur. I do not consider that they always act in the best interest

My daughter has been attending the nursery for over a year and a half and loves every moment! She calls it her other house. All the staff are amazing and go above and beyond to care for the children. The nursery has such a homely feel and I honestly feel like I'm leaving my daughter with family. I'm never worried and love that they do nature walks to explore, feed horses and play wonderful learning games. All the staff are always on hand to offer any advice you may need and help with milestones your child is trying to achieve eg. potty training. My daughter has learnt to be kind, polite and caring
