We are a small animal practice in Macclesfield, first established in 1963. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinary surgeons and nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open seven days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.

We also offer free parking for clients at the clinic. To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.
Services
Here at Bond Street Vets, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for 'repeat prescriptions'. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently. If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 48-hours before you would like to collect this.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01625 425637 and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact Vets Now on 01625 425637. This will connect you with our dedicated out of hours emergency services, run by Vets Now.
James qualified from Edinburgh University in 1986 and worked in mixed animal practice before taking on Bond Street with his wife, Sue, in 1993. He says "the pleasure of the job is meeting clients with their pets and building a good relationship to provide excellent service for both." He has three children, three dogs, three horses and a cat at home.

Unprofessional, uncaring and unethical veterinary practice. James McCance was negligent when he prescribed medication for our cat without informed consent which led to her death.
We raised our concerns with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) who carried out an investigation during which James McCance lied about what happened during our consultation. The RCVS concluded that it was not possible to determine whether or not the medication contributed to our cat going into renal failure. This vet is not fit to practice and does not operate within the code of professional conduct for veterinary

This morning our lovely cat, Willow, was put to sleep at the surgery by vet Gary Coxon. He spent all the time it needed explaining the options to us. When the time came to say goodbye, his tenderness in handling Willow was a great comfort to us. We couldn’t speak more highly of the treatment she (and we) received there.

This veterinary clinic is amazing, they are open on a weekend, the vets were very informative and friendly, giving advice on what was best for the animal, not just for us or them. Thank you to all of the staff here, especially Pauline who was the vet who helped us to keep our fostered kitten alive, she really did save its life.
The prices are a little high, not significantly for each treatment but enough so that over time or should a more comprehensive long term treatment plan be required it would add up very quickly.
