The team of qualified and experienced staff provide a warm and caring environment in which to learn, so that your child can develop and grow in a safe and stimulating environment. Services
We are really excited to be finally opening an additional room at Old Station Nursery. The Baby/Toddler room has been designed incorporating unique award winning German nursery equipment, specifically to meet the needs of our youngest children.

We have worked closely with the design team to ensure that we create an inspiring space providing an experience and environment that fosters and encourages the development of the childrens' senses, their imagination and creativity. It has been designed with the understanding that our youngest children are true explorers who with joy and curiosity question everything about the world and conquer everything new.
Thanks to a successful grant application to Scottish Borders Business Fund we have been able to completely revamp our outdoor learning area. We did so following consultation with the current children and parents, we have taken on board their comments and In doing so we have created a safe, stimulating and accessible outdoor learning area for the exclusive use of Old Station Nursery children on our very own door step.
If you are looking for quality and flexible childcare in the central Scottish Borders, Old Station Nursery is ideally located to meet your needs, situated conveniently in the historic old railway station building situated in the heart of the beautiful and ancient town of Melrose. We understand that finding quality and flexible childcare in the Borders is difficult.
The Care inspectorate commented in their latest inspection report that Staff were enthusiastic and cheerful throughout our visit. Parents spoke highly of "professional", "friendly " and "hard-working" staff. A parent told us they provide education "which is creative, interesting and stimulating and promote good behaviour".
Paying for childcare is a considerable expense, therefore it is vital that you are aware of all the help that is available to help pay for childcare. There are several avenues to explore including the use of tax credits, employer childcare vouchers and your entitlement to free sessions under the Nursery Education Funding scheme for 3 and 4 year olds.
