I could have never imagined that a take-away roast dinner could taste so good. It's better than any roast dinner I have had in any restaurant for as long as I can remember. Very generous portions including roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, a variety of vegetables and gravy. It really was absolutely delicious. Five stars.

We were driving past and I felt sick so stopped ended up eating here. the lady serving us could not have been any nicer ,what a very warm friendly welcome , beer was lovely and cold and the roast dinner oh wow the cauliflower cheese was to die for yum yum lovely fresh veg too , and a pot of coffee for 2 , great value for money we'll worth a visit will definitely go back .

Two and a Dog. We arrived after 2.30pm but we were still in time for lunch. A delicious roast lunch except for the awful roast potatoes, which seemed to be boiled and rolled in gravy rather than roasted. The rest of the veggies were fabulous. meat choice was beef or pork. I asked for a mixed plate if beef/pork but was told that would be an extra charge.
Dessert was delicious apple and cinnamon crumble.
Shortly after us, 8 people came in looking for lunch but were turned away, the reason being that they were behind making up the rooms for check-in.
We have visited this place several times over

Like stepping back in time! So quiet. No atmosphere. Had booked but she wasn't sure where to put us. Were run off their feet with only 4 tables. Can't see how they could afford to turn a couple away . Long wait for food, though not as long as some apparently. Food actually very nice. Some home cooked...some obviously not. Didn't have time to have desserts. Would be very surprised to see it is still there in the future.

We were made to feel very welcome after a long drive. Our evening meal was very tasty
The breakfast was excellent and very filling
In the words of my 4 Yr old daughter...."best sleepover ever!!!"
We even had a go in the hot tub

We stayed for 2 nights and found it very comfortable with ample parking

Great place for the family to stay, the staff were the highlight- they were really friendly and welcoming. Evening food was tasty and good value.
This isn't a 5 star place and it's not trying to be one- at the price point it's at it's very good value and far better than one of those chains you'd spend a similar amount on.
The rooms are fairly basic in their decor but clean and charming.
The gym is amazingly well equipped and the hot tub (albeit falling apart) was a great bonus too.
The only minor negatives we found were the filter coffee at breakfast could've been far stronger and a few more
