Every member of the La Tagliata team has an intense passion for food. We are all Italian, and we use our intimate knowledge of the food that makes our culture so special to create a little piece of Italy for you here in London. Everything we do is grounded in tradition and has been refined over generations.

That's what makes La Tagliata special. At La Tagliata, our goal is to create the best Italian restaurant in London. We do this by keeping our dishes true to tradition, and our restaurant a joy to be in. We only use the finest seasonal ingredients, which we pair with award-winning Italian wines. Situated in Spitalfields, near Liverpool Street, we're perfectly located for business and pleasure alike.
Services
Led by owners Carlo and Lorenzo, the La Tagliata story began with just one main course: sliced sirloin steak served with a rocket and parmesan salad and potatoes. Over time, this dish became a favourite for those in the surrounding area of Spitalfields and Italians across London. As the restaurant grew in popularity and size, Carlo, Lorenzo, and the Head Chef began to introduce new dishes to the menu.
You are warmly invited to enjoy an intimate luxury dining experience in the heart of historic Spitalfields. Choose from one of our 6 rooms, each of which can seat up to 10 guests. We offer private dining in Spitafields with no minimum spend and no room hire fee. Our team combines expert flavours, textures, and ingredients to create outstanding Italian food.

Very nice local experience of simple cuisine - you get a set menu of whatever’s in season, warm appetizers and some salad, few different options as tasty and a variety of grilled meat which we couldn’t eat cause by the time it arrived we were full. After meat you’ll get some desserts too. One of us has an allergy so he got his own meals without any onions. Very nice service

Warning! Set menu at €45, no options. Service was friendly and welcoming, and there was a talking parrot, which saved this from being a completely unfortunate experience. Most of the set menu items were incredibly salty, to the point of being inedible. The only things that were decent were the sautéed spinach, salad, grilled meat platter and the desserts. Unfortunately, one of the worst meals I’ve had in a country of great restaurants, I’m sad to say. They really need to change their chef or their restaurant will collapse. Save your money, stay in town for something better.

Wonderful meal for a fantastic price! Took a bus from Positano for dinner and really enjoyed everything - there is a €45 pre-fix menu that changes daily, includes house red or white wine and water plus a 5 course dinner. I cannot eat dairy and they were kindly accommodating. Recommend for anyone visiting the area! they will also arrange a shuttle to help you get back if you are staying closer to the water.

Honestly was hoping for so much more… definitely just hoping tourists come and want to try it. The food wasn’t great. Greasy and the worst Italian food I’ve had in Italy. The starter of tomato and buffalo mozzarella was the nicest thing. It really isn’t worth the hassle of getting a shuttle up to it. There are plenty of other nicer restaurants within the same price range on Via Christopher Columbus. Don’t make the same mistake we did!

Cute family owned farm and restaurant, friendly service and great views of Positano. There is no menu to pick and choose from, you are served the dishes that were prepared that day. The food is nice and servings are generous but don't expect restaurant standard, meals are home cooked and presented. We enjoyed their own brand wine. Nice experience overall.

The family, view, and food are all amazing beyond expectations! My wife and I went for the small lunch which is a fixed menu of amazing food that could easily feed a family of 4. While at lunch we found out they host an incredibly fun cooking class with great food, music, and dancing! It was an incredible experience! Highly recommended!!

My wife and I have been traveling through the whole of Italy and this is definitely one of the best experiences we have had. Excellent food, great hospitality, and a wonderful view. What a gem! Make sure you make a reservation if you are going for dinner though. We had lunch there, but I think the menu and the food are the same (not sure). The view is better during the day in my opinion. You can see the entire coast line. Wonderful!

The idea of this restaurant is amazing!!! You get a menu of their choice and you get to try all the Italian traditional food. Different types of antipasto, starters, pasta, grills and traditional Neapolitan desserts.
You can taste the freshness in the ingredients, which may not be a surprise since they were from the farm.
The restaurant is on a hill with fabulous view that oversees Positano. We didn’t book and there’s parking spaces outside.

Good food and abundant portions. The fixed menu makes it an easy spot for a group.
Only issue was the arrival, bus was 25 minutes late and when I got the the restaurant I was told to wait for my table despite having a reservation made in advance.
Once I got seated the food was quick.

The family that owns this place is super sweet and great, however our experience was pretty ruined by the shuttle. If you go, do not take the free shuttle the restaurant provides - it is not worth it. Took us an hour to get there because the driver kept turning around to pick up more people and we waited 45 minutes on the way back for the shuttle to get us. Really awful communication on shuttle.
The food was good - definitely not the best we had in Positano, but extremely inexpensive so good if you’re on a budget.

Perhaps one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in my life...service was impeccable and friendly, food was incredible. I highly recommend finding this restaurant, which is under a new manager who is a true professional. I have eaten at restaurants across the world, and this would be my regular place if I lived closer. You just can't have a bad meal here...

La Tagliata was such an incredible place! I had my last dinner in London here. They were extremely accommodating. I arrived early to ensure I could pay for the whole meal (I have sneaky friends). They graciously accepted my credit card we'll before my friends arrived. The food was incredible and the wine was delicious.

Great art work, fun jazzy music playing in the background, tables covered in candlelight, great helpful service and delicious food! A bit pricey for Italian but a great place for a special meal.

Amazing little restaurant in Spitalfields. The pasta is out of this world and the entire staff is Italian- how it should be. Great wine and atmosphere too. Very undiscovered!

I went there with other 10 friends for a birthday dinner.

The place itself is really nice, situated on a quiet street. Not a lot of tables so you won't find difficult to eat and have a chat at the same time.
I've ordered la tagliata di manzo which was nice and served with rocket,Parmesan cheese and cherry tomatoes. I've also tried a bit of tagliata di tonno which was way much better than the meat one. As a side I've opted for a mashed potatoes and they were delicious!

Staff is nice, friendly and professional, always available to help.
The only thing I found not 100% amazing

This is an Italian restaurant that only does one thing and that's Italian steak. It says. But when you go it's actually British steak but cooked the Italian way with on a bed of rocket, parmesan and cherry tomatoes and balsamic reduction. To be perfectly honest I just found this combo very weird; especially the balsamic with steak. At 3 courses for £29 it's not cheap.

Lemonita pasta and pesto options were ok. The desserts were their best dishes with the tiramisu the stand out dish to eat.

They do have a good selection of wines and the service was ever so friendly. The décor inside

Came here for the soft launch. What a lovely place. The owner was lovely, as was the waitress. Really brilliant service the whole night.

Food was great - it's a short and simple menu but we tried everything on it and it was all great. The pasta Limone is surprisingly good, and I'd never seen it before. The steak was perfect, and sides fantastic.

Would definitely come back!
