Services
Double Superior Ensuite Rooms 3 and 5 are located at the front of our Guest House and benefit from partial sea views from an enclosed balconette where guests can sit, relax and even enjoy a nice glass of wine whilst the world goes by. The stained glass window in guest room 5 depicts Brighton Pier and the Volks Railway, whilst in guestroom 3 the windows portrays Royal Pavilion and its gardens.
Our two double standard guest rooms are located on the first and second floor at the rear of our Guest House and provide the perfect setting in which to enjoy a short or medium stay, as they are smaller than the feature rooms. They also have a luxury en-suite shower and toilet with complimentary Pecksniffs Toiletries and 100% cotton luxury towels.
These two double rooms are located on the third floor and have shared use of the wet room which includes complimentary Pecksniffs Toiletries and 100% cotton luxury towels. The 3rd floor landing outside the loft rooms includes a galley area with sink and tea and coffee facilities, providing the perfect place to keep your Champagne on ice.
Brighton is renowned for its eclectic and diverse range of restaurants and bars, all offering wonderful food, drink and hospitality. Here are just a few of our recommendations. They have a simple plan, to produce the best steak & fish restaurant on the South Coast, all cooked in a Coal oven imported from Spain.

Didn’t meet my expectations-room was much darker than in the pictures and it was noisy - the walls and ceiling were so thin we could hear every footstep and door close. Next door neighbours or upstairs guests were having the loudest party, singing and shouting until 4am on a Tuesday!
Having said that, staff were nice and it was clean. Bathroom was newly remodelled.

A clean and smart hotel which we felt was Covid safe. The hosts were very accommodating and made us feel welcome even though they could not offer their usual service for guests. The bedrooms were simple, clean and comfortable. Bed linen and towels were very good quality. Close to the beach and the gorgeous shops. We bought the car park permit which was well worth the money. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Stayed here previously with my husband in November as attending a show at The Brighton Centre. Cannot recommend it enough!
Not only was it in prime position, just 50ft from the sea front (one turning from front row) and absolutely beautiful inside with its bespoke quirky decor and high end fixtures and fittings.
Our room was lovely, with a side sea view, wonderfully clean and comfortable with a great shower and nice little extras included such as bottled water, love heart sweets and luxury toiletries.
Cannot fault the owners either, great communication prior to arrival, help finding parking

Me and my husband just arrived back ftom a two night stay, we must say David and Eric were both amazing we couldn't fault our stay what so ever, the room is exactly what we needed and wanted and very clean (love hearts were a lovely touch) covid measures were in place they both had masks on every time we saw them and hand sanitizer was always available on entry to the building. We will definitely stay here again when we return back to Brighton,

Guest And The City is a boutique B&B with a strong and funky design. Spotlessly clean and with every possible convenience it’s the perfect place from which to explore Brighton. Just a street away from the seafront, the location gives you quick access to the fun of city centre, pier and the fantastic walk out to Kemptown - home to some great bars and restaurants.

David & Eric are outstanding hosts...the best. Both are warm, friendly and welcoming, nothing is to much trouble.
Breakfast was superb and a range of choices to choose from.
Facilities are chic and functional.

Very nice hotel. Compact and bijou, Peter, compact and bijou (for those of you who remember the TV Ad). Well equipped for the size, very comfy bed with nice soft pillows. Bathroom was excellent and had a very roomy shower. David and Eric were very accommodating and professional. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Very reasonable price which made this an excellent choice. I'd rather stay somewhere like here than the bigger hotel chains. Highly recommended.
