Services
Our Guest House has a fantastic central location only a moment from the Pier, City and Conference Centre. At the end of road, just a few steps, is Brighton seafront. Many of the rooms have direct sea views across the garden square. We welcome guests from across the world and from just around the corner.
One of the friendliest Guest Houses in Brighton, we offer great value and very comfortable rooms. All our rooms have multi channel, free-view, flat screen TV's, free WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities and some have fantastic sea views across the square and beyond. All rooms are non-smoking.

All of our fully en-suite Twin and Double rooms have King size beds and the twins are full size singles, they all have their own bathroom with shower (or bath with shower over) a toilet and washbasin. Some of our Sea View Doubles are large enough for an extra bed to be made up on request (extra charge applies), we also have a Sea View room that can sleep up to four people in a Double, Single and Trundle bed.
Strawberry Fields is located just off Brighton seafront at 6-7 New Steine, Brighton, BN2 1PB. Our cosy seafront Brighton Guest House is just steps away from the profusion of gourmet restaurants, exciting nightlife and abundance of culture. Brighton defies comparison with any other seaside city in the UK.
The rooms are all located at the top of the hotel effectively giving you your own private area. We call it the Fruity Suite. The picture above and on the right show the landing area where you can put drinks and nibbles. We regularly have hen parties staying with us, so can give you some good tips on hen-friendly restaurants, nightclubs and things to do.

The room was comfy and had a lovely view, it was quite peaceful in the hotel even though it was busy and summertime & we did feel safe. However, although I am aware it is going to be pricey in the summer we paid £250 for two nights and it did not feel worth it. The rooms are quite small and the shower in the room wasn’t very convenient as it got quite wet as there’s not much space. The shared bathroom was tiny and needed a little done and cleaned. The b&m itself also definitely needed to be done, the carpets must have been red at some point but they were almost completely brown from dirtâ€

Good if you're on a budget!
This bed only guest house is great for tight pockets, however, you do get what you pay for!
Positives: friendly and helpful staff.
Clean, quiet and good location.
Negatives: toilet was down a corridor and a flight of stairs, not very convenient, and the flush didn't always work - something you don't want with a shared facility!
The shower was temperamental at best and felt like you were standing under a guttering overflow. It was impossible to wash yourself effectively as it was mainly dripping down the walls. The water was hot, but I had to try and catch it in

We went out in Brighton and missed our train home, so we were looking for a hotel in the middle of the night. I'm really glad we came across Strawberry Fields: the receptionist was friendly and efficient, room — surprisingly spacious and clean (and we didn't even realize it had a sea view until morning :D ), and the bed was nice and comfy. For £75, you really can't ask for more.

We stayed at Strawberry Fields for one night. When checking in the staff were friendly and ran through all needed information with us. The room was clean and tidy and matches the websites pictures, we liked the added touches for decoration. Multiple plug sockets and working WIFI is always a bonus. Only reason its 3 stars is because you get what you pay for, even though the room was lovely it just needs a bit of updating ( see picture with hole in carpet and scratched wall) No big deal really as it didn't affect the stay. Overall I would recommended if you want somewhere to stay for a night or two

We stayed in a twin room with en suite and found it very clean and comfortable. Plenty of storage and tea/coffee/toiletries were also provided. There was no housekeeping during our 3 night stay but we were advised we could contact reception at any time if we needed anything changing.
There are no breakfast facilities but there are so many nearby cafes that we didn't find this a problem. Mons Cafe was particularly nice.
We marked down one star because of the noise. This isn't the fault of the b&b as Brighton is a noisy place, but our double glazing (in a room at the back of the hotel) was old

A gorgeous bed (no breakfast) within walking distance of Brighton town centre. The staff were lovely and friendly and very accommodating of any questions or needs my group had. The rooms are a little small but for what you pay for, they do exactly what you need!! I would highly recommend this little hotel to anyone in need of a room in Brighton without spending a fortune. Will definitely book here again when I’m in Brighton in the future! Thank you Strawberry Fields team!
