Colehill Nursery School
Colehill Nursery consists of a team of highly qualified, committed and experienced employees, who are dedicated to give your children the support and attention they deserve. We believe that children settle best when they have a key person to relate to, who knows them and their parents well, and who can meet their individual needs.

Each child is allocated a key person who remains their primary carer throughout their time at the nursery. Louise has worked in childcare for over 20 years. She has 3 grown up children and 4 beautiful granchildren, whom she loves spending fun times with (aswell as her crazy dog, Digby)! The Nursery is a charity, managed by a team of trustees who are all also governors at Colehill First School, with whom they share a site.
Services
Colehill Nursery is situated in the beautiful grounds of Colehill First School, in Colehill near Wimborne. It is a bright impressive building that was built in 2005. The nursery takes great pride in its happy, caring, friendly and safe atmosphere, which encourages all children to grow and develop at their own pace.
A daily routine gives children a sense of security. This is why we ensure each day is properly structured while leaving enough time for spontaneous activities. The nursery operates a free flow system. The activities are planned and the children can decide if they would like to be inside or out.

Healthy snacks are provided each day, and children are encouraged to be involved in creating these, for example by growing their own vegetables or helping to prepare soup.
There are seven areas of learning and development that must shape educatinla programmes in early years settings. All areas of learning and development are important and inter-connected. Three areas are particularly crucial for igniting children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive.
Children flourish in an environment that is exciting for them. The outside play area is particularly well resourced, and gives children first-rate opportunities to be physically active in a wide range of play activities which provide measured risk and challenge. Staff know children exceptionally well.
We are pleased to announce our new Breakfast Club which is open to Nursery and School Children from 8am to 9am Monday to Friday. The cost per session is 5 per child and this is not covered by Early years Funding. We are pleased to offer flexible sessions within the nursery, with morning, afternoon or all day session available.
