Such excellent online service from Mark and Bowden Opticians. Responded personally to my order and queries straight away and provided a free upgrade in lenses just because it would suit the frame better! The price was great too - £85 for everything including postage. The same would have cost over £200 in another optician's I visited. Highly recommended.

I found Mark Bowden by an internet search for the glasses frames I wanted (Stetson). I then telephoned (no wait, no listening to options) to ask if my chosen frames could be glazed to a new varifocal prescription and my existing glasses re-glazed as sunglasses to the same prescription. All this was done at a price significantly less than half the sum a high street optician wanted to charge for the same service - and in less than half the time. In addition, Mark was a pleasure to deal with and kept me informed at all stages. First class in every department. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Mark is fantastic! I broke the frames on my favourite glasses and searched everywhere for a replacement. Following hours and hours of searching - Bowden's was the only place that still did this particular frame . After speaking to Mark on a sunday evening he contacted the factory and reserved the only pair they had left. He even gave me advice on replacing the lenses once the frames arrive - a real lifesaver and a gentleman, will use again.

Well, I now have a new Optical supplier! This guy can save you a conservative 60-70% on High St opticians' prices. All you need is a) an Eye Test prescription - Don't worry, you'll soon recoup the £25 Specsavers might want to charge you - and b) your favourite glasses' Frame size, in my case 53-17-145. If Mark sees you searching on his site, he will likely step on through his Chat function to offer his excellent personal service, and intimate knowledge of his frames.
