Dirty rooms, small rooms would not recommend at all had to end up finding another hotel after being moved to an even worse room. Only then for us to be moved back into the original room which was apparently cleaned... Which it was not as hair still all over the bed I would avoid like the plague which I might of caught had I stayed here.

You you are looking for a 5 star hotel.. This is not it. It is a European style hotel. It is clean... It has hot water and a updated bath. The beds were OK. The front staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The manager Pellum was awesome to us. Treated us with most respect. The location is the best. Just steps from 2 metro lines... The red center line and the circle yellow line. ... Food services all around. The hotel is tired and needs updating. New carpet could help. Also small elevators. But if you are just here to see London on a budget... I felt safe.

I had a good room, breakfast was good and the location was great!! I had a towel issue but it got resolved quickly. The front desk staffs were not so nice on the first day but after a few days, they became very nice. I wanted to extend but the price got extremely high so I checked out. I felt that the price was unfair for such a small room. Overall, I had a good stay and I would definitely recommend and also stay there again.

Ok, no-one expects this to be the Dorchester for what you're paying, but when I checked in they gave me the key to a room that was clearly occupied! I had to drag myself and my luggage back along the narrow winding corridors, with little steps up and down and frequent fire doors, back to reception, got a key to a new room - and the water didn't work! No water from the shower or the sink. I told them at 530pm when I went out, when I returned later that night it hadn't been fixed so the next morning was water-free too. Room OK otherwise , shared it with a couple of spiders , tea &

Hotel was okay. Bit run down but it was clean. Good value for money. Room was nice enough and the bed was comfy. Wasn't too amused on the first evening as when we left our room we could smell weed. But told someone at reception and when we got back the smell had gone and we didn't smell it again during the stay. Breakfast was pretty good for how cheap the stay was. Cheap stuff but it was hot and tasted fine. Not bad if you are looking for somewhere cheap to stay. But personally we wouldn't stay here again

I hate having to write bad reviews but the though of letting anyone else suffer here makes me too anxious not to. Before we even arrived at the hotel, we tried calling to confirm everything where we were told to "call back later" as the front desk didn't know anything.
Upon arrival, any booking information had to be done in some back closet room that I can only equate to meeting the wizard behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. The staff was very dismissive and not at all helpful (save for one girl). To get to the rooms is a maze itself. On one end of the hotel is a maze of doors

Looks like a pretty rundown hotel - but lowish cost (I heard the reception charging a guest £84.60 a night which is very low for London) so what do you expect in the World's best city (IMO). Here to meet a business contact from Belgium but the lobby is cold and small and I inviting - so hopefully a lunch meeting in a nearby gastropub!!
Short walk (0.3 mile) from Bayswater Tube station - so pretty convenient from that regard

My Sister and I booked a stay here from Oct 1-5th. We arrived a bit early and the front desk agent refused to let us check in early. We came back at 2 and checked in to room 200. The room was small, dirty and had no air conditioning. The door to the bathroom is broken and does not shut or lock. We were exhausted so we decided to take a nap. 3 hours in to our nap we woke up to bed bugs crawling on us and in our sheets. We had each already received 17-20 bites each. Mortified we jumped out of bed and killed a few using toilet paper. We gathered our belongings which we thankfully never unpacked and

Bed bugs! 2 out of 3 of us were bitten by bed bugs. This hotel is like a hostel. Yes it's cheap, but cramped. Bathroom so small you can barely turn round, taps on washbasin were loose and shower sprays all over floor. Street immediately outside littered with trash. The only saving grace was a good breakfast buffet. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location.
Pros: location (near Hyde Park, Kensington, restaurants, etc.) metro and bus both within 2 blocks.
Cons: the side of the hotel we stayed on had no elevator. We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. WiFi was in and out during our whole stay. No AC, TV in the room didn't work, fridge in the room doesn't work. The only ice machine is a small one that sits on the counter in the lobby. Bathroom is tiny, bathroom sink is a child's size, no counter space for toiletries so we had to keep them on the floor under the sink

The best part of this hotel is it's location. You are in Zone 1 which puts you close to a train system which is the best way to get around London and it is close to a street with tons of restaurants & places to pick up souvenirs. If you are looking for luxury or more than a place to simply lay your head while seeing London don't stay here.
The rooms are very small & we're not cleaned well in between the days. We could tell because something was spilled the day before and it wasn't cleaned up. The hotel is under renovation & every morning we were here I was awoken

If you are on a budget and you are never going to be in your room the place is great. I definately would not recommend anyone with anxiety to stay here. other then that spend the money for a place with amenities.
Lets start with the pros. The lobby is well kept and the staff is very friendly. The hotel has free wifi and gives you a travel phone in each room to use so that you do not get lost.
The emergency alarm test everyday. Very small rooms that are partially "updated". The lobby looks new with a new elevator and 2 very old very small ones that may or not work tucked in the corner

Not a great hotel, skip this place & pay for an upgraded hotel. The room was small, but is understandable since we were in London & rooms are smaller there. The hotel is currently being renovated & unfortunately we did not get a renovated room. When we arrived we checked in & our room was located on the 4th floor, but had to take the elevator to the 5th floor & walk down a flight of stairs to get to our room, which was quite difficult with several luggage bags. The one good thing I can say about this place was the breakfast was good & there was a large variety.

The hotel is dated and needs upgrades, I won't lie. My mattress was in bad need of replacing and the rooms need a fresh coat of paint.
That said it's an economy hotel in a prime area with amazing staff. Jay, at the front desk, did everything in his power to make myself and my mother have a great stay. Our room request were honored, moved made to suit my moms bad knee, and helpful information given about the city.
And that matters. Good staff and great location at a budget price, you can't ask for more.

(2014 Review) This is your average run of the mill two star hotel in London, very inexpensive and gets the job done. It is very close to the tube, roughly about a 5 to 8 minute walk or roughly 2 to 3 small blocks. The elevators are small, roughly can fit 1 to 2 people without luggage and roughly 1 with luggage, but better than hauling it upstairs. The front desk was very straightforward and quick with the checking in process which is always a plus. The hotel is always very close to Kensington palace and a beautiful park for morning, afternoon, or nightly strolls.

People are so damn picky.
If you just want a place in the center of London, with free breakfast, that's cheap in price, a bed, and a private shower GO TO THIS HOTEL!!
Why spend $400 a night for a super fancy room you'll hardly be in? I don't get it.
Pro:
Free breakfast every morning (all you can eat buffet)
Lowest price rooms ever
Location (center of everything, next to tour bus stop, 1 block away from train station, shopping strip also one block away)
Private bathroom, tv, able to open windows
Friendly staff OMG!
Con:
No free wifi
No AC/Heater
Paper thin walls and noisy floors

I'd award 3 stars for it's location and no stars for the hotel itself, so 1 star overall.
Cons: Upon arrival we weren't welcomed with an expected hello and a greeting, just like we'd receive back in Ireland. Not one hello, not one smile, utterly cold. Receptionist asked for name and handed us a key card and that was all. We were a little shocked but too tired to complain.
There was a torrential downpour right before we arrived and not even a tissue was offered to dry our hands before we could sign documents...how do these employees have jobs?
Rooms will suffice if you are

Okay, to be perfectly fair, this place would normally get 1 star from me. Buuuut...I have to say that a few days after my stay here, I wound up somewhere else in France that was much, MUCH worse. So they will get my one star review, and this place gets two.
Now, onwards!
Cons first, so that we can leave on a happy note. Right after our 12 hour plane ride, naturally both my roommate and I wanted to shower

After a 10 hour plane ride and 1 hour shuttle from the airport, all I really wanted to do was shower and venture out into the wonderful city of London.
Check in was quite easy and fast. However, we entered our room and immediately notice how cold it was. Tried to turn on the heater, but we couldn't find the knob. No problem, just call the receptionist and ask for someone to fix it.
"Someone will come by in 15 minutes to help you," said the receptionist.
One weird thing was that they gave my friend and I a three bed room. Strange considering it was just the two of us. Even stranger

I went here in May 2009. We (my fiance and I) got this place as a replacement for another budget hotel we booked as part of a travel (air/hotel) package.
Even with the understanding that this place is a budget hotel, it was god awful! The "complementary continental breakfast" consisted of stale bread and rolls (although the croissants were okay), a large bowl of sad looking tinned fruit (varied from grapefruit sections to sugar-laden, from-a-can fruit salad), rice krispies and corn flakes, reconstituted orange juice, and coffee and tea. We ended up grabbing tea and croissants most

2 nights at the Park Hotel came w/ our plane tickets to London. This place is HORRIBLE. First of all, they don't seem to have a computer system to check/ manage rooms (they use like 5 different booklets) and the people at the front desk are HELLA slow! by the time we got there (well after check-in time) our rooms weren't even ready. When we finally got up to our room, my mouth dropped. We had made a reservation for 3. the beds were TINY. like smaller than twin beds. How the hell are 3 ppl supposed to sleep in this damn room? The room was also tiny so there wasn't even enough

I don't even know how my mom and I found this place on the internet, but we were under the impression that it was a pretty decent hotel from the deceptive pictures and the price we paid, which from what I remember was about $200 a night. Well, boy...were WE in for a shocker once we arrived. It was the most dicrepit, crickety, ancient, about-to-fall-apart P.O.S. hotel I've ever seen.
