Three generations of our family have played their part in restoring Treworgey's beautiful period cottages overlooking the Looe River Valley in South East Cornwall. We pride ourselves on treating both couples and families to a uniquely luxurious and restful experience. Step into your 5* cottage to find country interiors, log fires, your own private garden and spectacular views.
Beyond the tranquillity of your cottage, Treworgey is brimming with activity, from kids' clubs and swimming pool to tennis and horse riding. We are also truly dog friendly with wonderful walks over our 150 acre farm and the Cornish coastline just minutes away. A remarkable number of our guests return year after year and we look forward to welcoming you amongst them soon.

Treworgey is a 150 acre farm overlooking the beautiful Looe River Valley. The 15 stone 5*Gold award cottages on the farm were all restored by us (the Wright family) over the last 40 years and we continue to own and run them today. Every cottage has its own private garden and spectacular views. We want you to love Treworgey as much as we do, and to feel as much 'at home' here as we do.
Treworgey Manor was the home of Richard Kendall in 1620 and the home of the Williams family in 1748. The medieval manor house burnt down centuries ago but the ancient bakery and stables remain. The later Georgian farmhouse, cottages and accompanying stone barns (first recorded on the 1840 tithe map) and the pretty Victorian farmworkers' cottages have been slowly restored by our family over the past 40 years.
Nestled in patchwork farmland overlooking the beautiful Looe River valley in Cornwall, every one of our period country cottages has a private garden, log fire and spectacular views. Our interiors make use of original features, hand-picked antiques and beautiful rugs and fabrics to create English country style that makes for a true home-from-home.
This lovely slate-hung Georgian farmhouse with sash windows sits in the centre of Treworgey Farm and has lovely views down the valley to the river below. Enter into the front porch with stained-glass windows and mosaic-tiled floor, through to the flagstoned hall. To your left is the main sitting room with an enormous Inglenook fireplace, baby grand piano, comfortable arm chairs and sofas, antiques, a 46 TV, DVD, hifi and big sash windows.
River Barn is one of the oldest buildings at Treworgey and dates back to the original Manor. It became our greatest conversion challenge yet: to maintain the great character of the building, whilst making it as environmentally friendly as possible. The downstairs is under-floor heated and has local oak beams above.

Best cottages by far. Our 2nd visit to this beautiful complex of cottages.
The family have certainly gone out of there way to make every cottage home from home and beautiful. We first stayed in Trelugas cottage in 2016,
Returning to Lois cottage November 2021. Still as beautiful and excellent standards awaits you. There is nothing that isn’t in your cottage. So many people return here year after year. We can’t wait to return. Hopefully in 2023. As a nhs worker, it can be hard sometimes to get a break when you want it.
Be proud of your selfs to all the staff.

My family and I discovered Treworgey nearly 15 years ago via a small ad in a parenting magazine called JUNIOR. The cottages were described as a chocolate box of delights and family friendly. And that was not a clever marketing ploy. It was true. The cottage decor, comfort, views all spectacular. Attention to detail, love and care is at the heart of Treworgey. We only visited during the winter months and can tell you It is utterly delightful. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself. You wont be disappointed.
