Boturnell Barns
Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in our beautifully converted barns. We pride ourselves in catering for you and your pets' needs, by providing an enclosed garden, throws for the furniture, and 25 acres of stunning Cornish countryside, including the woods, for all to encounter. We are experienced pets owners and are realistic in our expectations.

If your dogs are happy, then you can enjoy your holiday. These quirky Nissen Huts have been sympathetically converted to provide restful accommodation enhanced by the use of local and re-cycled materials, such as pine and stained glass. To compliment this, we have a Shepherds Hut, small & compact.
Services
Sue has owned Boturnell Barns since 1999, and is a qualified animal behaviourist. She has been involved with animal rescue for many years, hence why most of our animals and birds are either rescued or home bred. Teej is Sue's son, and has been brought up surrounded by animals. He has a lot of experience with the rescue side and also the farming side.
Bringing your pets on holiday should be a fun experience and we want you to relax and enjoy your time here at Boturnell. Unlimited access to the whole cottage, we want you to treat your cottage as you would your own home, as your pets won't understand the difference. Animal first aid kit in our porch (and a human one) and the name and phone number of 2 local vets in the welcome pack.
A deposit of 33% is required on booking and the balance is payable 3 weeks before arrival. Reservations by telephone or e-mail will be held for five days until the deposit is received. All deposits are non-refundable. Holidays commence no earlier than 4pm on the day of arrival and end no later than 9am on the day of departure.
The Chestnuts is a fantastic ground floor barn conversion located in Galmpton, a little village on the outskirts of Paignton and Brixham. This barn has a total of 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 guests. It is in very close proximity to the local village shop and Inn and a number of wonderful educational walks as well as the world famous Greenway House, the family home of Agatha Christie now run by the National Trust.
Chy Yar is Cornish for chicken house and until recently this was the home to our flock. They have now moved to a new apartment, guarded by our alpacas. Converted from a nissen hut, Chy Yar offers bright and airy accommodation using new and upcycled materials and furniture. This 3 bedroom property is truly unique.

This is the second time we have stayed here in 9 years. We stayed in the beau tunnel this time which is great value and just right for a couple with dogs. Fully enclosed, we could let the dogs out to their own private garden in the knowledge they can't escape. Inside, it's very clean & comfortable with a log burner, airing room, bathroom, kitchen, TV & WiFi. We will definitely return.

Just booked our 5th visit to the shepherds hut, which is a compact and quirky space in a peaceful location. The barns are super dog friendly and the goats and alpachas are really cute too. It is the perfect base for walks as there is the woods and country lanes next to the hut and many lovely walks just a short drive away. we like Looe/hannafore beach, bodmin, siblyback lake, golaitha falls and a town called minions. Owner sue is lovely and any problems she will sort !

We had a lovely stay in Beau Tunnel, spotlessly clean and all mod cons, very peaceful and secluded and dog friendly. A gem of a place and can't wait to return.

Amazing views, very unique place to stay, it is absolutely in the middle of nowhere and we loved it. The residence was deceptively spacious, a good sized double room and a single, good open plan living area with all mod cons, there is ample parking. Definitely will be back

Stayed in the shepherds hut with my two dogs and enjoyed ourselves.
A nice woodland walk just metres away and lovely open countryside views.

Nice place to stay if you like farms and animals, very comfortable, don't expect strong WiFi signal though as in middle of countryside, enjoyed our stay with our dog.
