The team of vets, nurses and receptionists here at Wangford work together to provide a high standard of care and offer you and your pet a professional yet personal service in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. As a companion animal practice we treat cats, dogs, rabbits, other small furries and exotic pets.
Patients are all looked after with the same care as we give to our own pets. We have morning and afternoon appointments available and try to be as flexible as we can. Unusually we offer 15 minute appointments and all our clients are given as much time and attention as they need. Sometimes in an emergency you may experience a short wait - we hope that you will bear with us on these rare occasions.

Services
If your pet is scheduled to have an anaesthetic or sedation please read and follow the following directions. While no procedure or anaesthetic can ever be guaranteed safe, by following these instructions you help us to make your pets visit as smooth and safe as possible. If your pet has been unwell or their condition has deteriorated before admission please let us know.
On arrival at the surgery you will be asked to sign an anaesthetic consent form. Pre-operative blood tests - If you have a dog or cat that is being admitted for a procedure that requires a sedation or anaesthetic, you will be offered a pre-op blood test. This test allows us to check your animal does not have any pre-existing liver or kidney problems that we may not be aware of especially if they are in the early stages and have no symptoms.
Please do not withhold food or water from your pet before the procedure; it is very important that they eat up until the op. Please bring in a small amount of their normal food so that we can encourage them to eat during their stay. Please bring your pet in a carrier lined with newspaper or a towel, free of bedding and sawdust this is to prevent contaminating the wound later.
