Services
We provide export health certificates (EHC's) to allow the export of products of animal origin and animals to Third countries and EU member states. We certify products of animal origin to make sure they are suitable for export from the UK to their intended destination. We check the traceability of products to make sure they meet the requirements of all parties and can help you with your support attestation needs.
Portland House Veterinary Group has practices in Retford and Ollerton for companion animals and both these practices offer weekday surgeries and a 24-hour emergency facility. Our team of experienced and skilled vets and nurses offer a great range of knowledge across a broad area of problems. Although most of our work is covered in-house we have an excellent network of specialist referral facilities should the need arise.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
If it's not possible for you to attend the practice but you need some advice or your pet is unwell, we can offer you a video consultation. We would always prefer to see you face to face, but understand this is not always possible in the current circumstances. Step 1: Phone us and advise the receptionist that you'd like to arrange a video consultation.
Portland House has an experienced team of vets able to cope with all your farm emergencies, whatever the time, day or night. As well as emergency care, we also provide other services designed to maximise the health and welfare of your stock and so, maximise your productivity and profitability. Herd Health/Flock Health Planning is a great way to look in-depth at your livestock management and help maximise productivity.

After a couple of visits to out of hours at vets now in Doncaster and a substantial amount of money spent, I was told my 10 week old kitten had brain damage. I registered with portland house and got an appointment the same day, simba was thoroughly checked over and given a antibiotic injection for a respiratory infection, after a follow up appointment and a full course of antibiotics he is now back to full health. Can't thank portland house enough, fully recommend!!

I have recently had to visit Portland House Vets with my cat who developed complications after being bitten by another cat. I have seen a number of the vets and each one has been so pleasant and reasureing to me, kind and caring towards my cat. I have also found the ladies on reception friendly and helpful. Thank you everyone.
