To find out, we need to begin back in the early part of the last century, before the second world war. In those days, it was frowned upon for girls to study past school age. But this didn't put Christine off, and when she finished school she left home to go to university veterinary school. It was just fifteen years later in 1937 that Christine Woods qualified from Liverpool University Veterinary School.
Established in Leeds in 1937 as a family-run vet practice, we have remained true to these values with a focus on quality and care for all our patients. Our teams of veterinary surgeons, nurses and client care co-ordinators are always willing to help, providing everything you need to secure the health and happiness of your pet.
At White Cross Vets, we believe prevention is better than cure. To ensure your pet has the longest, healthiest life possible, we recommend 'whole of life' pet insurance cover and the Complete Wellness Plan. The Complete Wellness Plan allows us to provide your pet with the very best preventative healthcare at an affordable and cost-effective monthly price.
Vaccination is vital throughout your cat's life. Within a few weeks of being born, your kitten will start to lose the natural resistance to disease which it gained from its mother's milk and sooner or later, it's almost certain to be exposed to infection of one kind or another; through grooming, sharing litter trays or feeding bowls, fighting or numerous other ways that are an everyday part of a cat's life.
Unless properly vaccinated, your dog runs the risk of contracting one of several possibly fatal infectious diseases. Parvovirus and Distemper probably represent the most widespread threat, but it is also necessary to protect against Hepatitis and Leptospirosis. Some Hepatitis vaccines can also protect against a virus implicated in the "Kennel Cough" syndrome.

Remarkably consistent incompetence.
Whatever you order it won’t be there. Have to check prescription contents each time. Usually either items are missing or in the wrong dosages. Their vet staff, front desk and accounts will usually all say something different too.
Only reason we’re still there is that the vet staff themselves are great (accounts were accurate as well to be fair to them). The front desk whilst usually polite and friendly are completely clueless as to what is going on - whether that’s them, the notes others leave, other staff missing things - who knows. Either way, it presents

Been on the pet plan through various changes of ownership for 9 years and when White Cross took over after my dog had reoccurring problems with and I had to take her a few times for treatment I received a letter saying they were taking my dog off the Pet plan as they were unable to absorb the cost any longer they offered a inferior product which I rejected all through the pandemic they have been busy this is an example of them picking and choosing who they want to treat and when your pet gets older and perhaps has ongoing health issues they will cut you off!!! and cancel the plan you may have paid

Absolutely dreadful experience with this practice despite having visited with my cats and dogs for nearly 20 years. Refused to accept any responsibility for their negligence despite the fact the practice has changed hands and the vet that treated my beloved dog has left. Now left with vets bills and worry for what little time my dog may have left. Claim to have diagnosed a heart condition for my elderly dog, instead what they actually did was perform a heart scan no follow up, no medication and check ups.. I was never told about the condition and they refuse to acknowledge this. Heartbreaking for
