Words Do Work
My Sheffield Hypnotherapy practice has been established for over 10 years and I am a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Hypnotherapy will help you to change unhelpful habits, beliefs or patterns of thought so that you may live a fuller, healthier and happier life. Hypnosis can induce a natural state of focused relaxation, allowing deeper parts of the mind to become accessible and receptive to new and helpful suggestions.

If you are ready to make changes in your life, Hypnotherapy will help you to achieve them. Hypnotherapy does involve talking and listening. However it differs from counselling in that it is an 'interventionist' approach. An intervention will be prepared by the hypnotherapist based on what the client has discussed and expressed.
Services
I am an excellently qualified, experienced and highly effective Clinical Hypnotherapist in Sheffield. I do appreciate that it is very easy for people to write whatever they like about themselves! However, you can read the feedback that people have written about my service by clicking 'Client Feedback'.
Anxiety can be completely debilitating and can range from mild to extreme. You could be anxious about one particular thing or you could be suffering from 'generalised anxiety disorder' which means that you worry about everything. Anxiety can feel so debilitating that you might find yourself living in a state of dread, as though something awful was about to happen.
Sleep is restorative and necessary for day-to-day functioning. If you are experiencing problems with sleep, it is likely that everything else in your life will become more difficult and taxing as you will feel you do not have the necessary energy to cope. You may not be able to fall asleep easily or you may fall asleep easily but wake up again in the middle of the night.
Sometimes, we have to maintain relationships where we feel we have been taken for granted, completely misunderstood and abused (emotionally or physically) and this can be extremely difficult and challenging.

We need to relate to and communicate with our partners, our immediate family, our extended family, our children, our friends, our friends' children, our work colleagues, our boss, various managers, associates, and ultimately with every person we have contact with i.e. society as a whole. We sometimes need reminding that we are each and every one of us a valuable part of society and society is built on relationships.
Some people seem born with it, some people seem as though they desperately need it. Confidence can appear to be a quality that you either 'have' or 'don't have', but, in fact, confidence is just a feeling of being comfortable with who you are. Although it might seem impossibility, you can grow to feel comfortable and confident.

I wanted to get hypnotherapy to deal with clenching my jaw - something I do automatically in my sleep. The good news is after four sessions with Deborah, I'd solved this problem through a process which is gentle, relaxing and meditative. Deborah is really kind and supportive, but isn't afraid of challenging ideas when they need challenging too. Definitely recommend getting therapy with her.

I am so glad i made the choice to get in touch with Deborah, after researching Hypnotherapy for my 17yr old Daughter who was struggling with Anxieties and Emetophobia along with very poor diet and low self esteem. This had become very dissabilitating to the point she wouldnt travel on public transport. But after the first couple of sessions with Deborah we knew we had made the right choice. Deborah is a Lovely, kind and very professional lady, who has made my Daughter feel at ease and worked well in helping her gain the confidence to overcome all the difficulties she was facing every Day. I was amazed

I went to Words Do Work in the hope of alleviating the anxiety I felt over the course of every day life. This mainly occurred during everyday social interaction, especially when in crowds of new people.
I had been taking medication for years - from beta-blockers to antidepressants - in an attempt to push these anxious feelings to one side, but never felt as though I was making any progress, or fully addressing the problems I faced every day.
After going to WDW for several hypnotherapy sessions, I feel as though a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I no longer feel a crushing anxious feeling
