The Fox Inn Broadwell

We had a lovely meal staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in our Motorhome in the car park overnight.

I loved going to this place everyone that works there are extremely friendly the Landlord is a very nice bloke + the food is incredibly tasty + filling... i will be back

Perfect for Sunday lunch. We booked 2 days in advance and could only get the 12:30 slot. The pub quickly filled up.
Simple mostly traditional menu.
We shared a baked Camembert in lieu of separate starters.
Main courses are generous portions. I ate thick slices of roast pork with "the best crackling ever" according to my mum (an expert cook), crunchy roast potatoes, broccoli, green beans and sweet tasty carrots. Plenty of gravy but no apple sauce.
Sister had roast beef with large Yorkshire pudding. We all polished everything off! 😋
For dessert, we had sticky toffee pudding, served with good

Absolute gem of a pub with a really broad menu. Food was all perfect and not touristy place which was lovely - a must visit!!!

Nothing says “You are not welcome here” like being told there is no food service today and then watching hot food dishes come out if the kitchen to tables around us. Clearly they don’t need new customers.

Disappointed with the chips, more like fries hidden under the fish. No suitable sugar free non-alcoholic drinks other than water. Asked for lime and soda, given full sugar lemonade and lime without any explanation. Not good for a diabetic. Felt that it was an over priced meal for the four of us.

Let down and dissatisfied. This used to be a local pub of choice for decent, well priced food and friendly atmosphere. Our recent visit for dinner will be our last. We left feeling dissatisfied by the significant drop in standards of food quality - the meat was cheap, the batter soggy, the salad withering, and the bun dry - yet, the prices hiked. This was coupled with a nonchalant and superior attitude from the landlord. There is a lot of competition in the area so we’ll be taking our business elsewhere where the standards are higher and the welcome less condescending

Off on a country ramble, my husband and I came upon The Fox Inn in Broadwell. Yes, the sandwiches were made with white bread, but we found them delicious and satisfying. The local ale was also a hit.
