Services
We are proud of our well kept traditional Ales. We currently keep Hooky, Timothy Taylors Landlord, London Pride and a seasonal Ale which changes after each barrel. We enjoy trying the new ales around and especially enjoy supporting the local breweries nearby making some fantastic ales. We have a selection of fantastic gins, both traditional and some newer flavoured delights.

Stumbled upon the pub whilst on a bike ride from Banbury. Received a warm welcome despite having a cumbersome bike with me - sat in the garden in the sun with a pint of san miggers.

Food was ok.
I had vegan mash which was done well but you could tell they hadn't substitute the butter/milk so it was fairly dry and only saved by the gravy.
The veggie sausages were overcooked and dry.
The staff were lovely and I couldn't fault them.
Beautifully decorated and a lovely garden

Away for a weekend and cycled to this pub from a nearby campsite. This place was recommended on the campsite's website so we decided to go based on this and the fact they catered for gluten free. Walked in and immediately felt a warm welcome. Hubby said the beer was very good. We both had a meal and as I have to eat Gluten Free the menu was clearly labelled for me to choose. The portions were big and we both left food on our plates. Would definitely recommend and will return if we are in the area again.

Friendly welcome for strangers at this unprepossessing pub. Bar food looked wholesome and inexpensive. Lively atmosphere on Friday evening and Hooky to die for.

If you are not a villager don't bother. Having spent a reasonable amount of money was barred for no reason. Tried to speak with manager and got an unreasonable response which was my decision and that's it. I wish that this pub was more approachable and reasonable instead of being dogmatic in their response. Will not be coming back soon

This is one of those pubs you wish was on your doorstep rather than hours away.
9 of us met up there from 3 different towns because it was somewhere in middle. Its a fairly small but pretty pub. We opened the door to a log fire and real ale on hand fulled pumps. The meal we had was great quality and served by friendly happy waitresses.
The only thing it lacked was some sort of starter for the kid meal. We will definitely meet there again.
