The Tyler family of Funeral Directors has a very long and interesting history, dating back nearly 100 years and throughout that time have maintained an exptional reputaion for providing a personalised, high quality service. The origins of the family business date back to 1919 when Leonard Smith (usually known as Bob) completed his apprentice in Hay on Wye as a carpenter and wheelright and set up the original L Smith business in Ryton near Dymock.
At all of our locations we provide a private Chapel of Rest. Once we are notified of a death we have the facilities to carry out the removal of the deceased to our chapel of rest. This is a modern chapel that has been designed to suit those of all religious beliefs and where we would ensure full care and preservation of the deceased.

It is perhaps an unusual thing to rate a funeral service but i wanted to take the trouble to do so here.
From the moment I walked into the small office I was made welcome by Sue on reception in a polite, sensitive but highly professional manner and without being too over the top. The balance for me was perfect.
I was walked through all i needed to do and to be honest they sorted pretty much everything.
On the day I met the owner Robert who was a total gent!
The service was perfect and my father laid to rest as he should be.
Definitely a 5 star service at a fair price. THANK YOU ALL!!!
