At St Anne's RC Primary school we work together, learn together and care together in God's love to enable each unique person to achieve their full potential. We aim to meet the needs of every child through a challenging, enriched curriculum, where everyone feels valued and respected. Providing a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment through an inclusive partnership between children, parents, our school, our church and the wider community.
Services
St. Anne's aims and associated objectives are based on well formulated and long established traditional Catholic values, and on explicit philosophies and beliefs. We aim to provide a warm, happy and secure environment within which successful learning can take place which reflects the diversity of race, gender and the inclusive nature of our school.
I have been working in education since 1995 in a variety of roles, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have three children, two are now working as teachers in primary schools. Working in education takes up a lot of time, but as a family we like to put aside time to visit the cinema and have family days out during the holidays.
Whilst the Headteacher of the school is responsible for day-to-day management of the school, the role of the Governing Body is to provide strategic management and to act as a 'critical friend', supporting and challenging the school. Schools generally have a budget to cover salaries, running costs, maintenance and equipment and the Governing Body is responsible for managing this budget.
This power applies to any member of staff at the school. It can also apply to people whom the headteacher has temporarily put in charge of pupils such as unpaid volunteers or parents accompanying students on a school organised visit. Reasonable force can be used to prevent pupils from hurting themselves or others, from damaging property, or from causing disorder.
Pupil premium funding is to provide additional support to pupils entitled to/have been entitled to free school meals in the last 6 years, or pupils who are looked after by the Local Authority, so that their attainment can be maximised. In making provision for Pupil Premium children, we recognise that not all pupils who receive free school meals will be socially disadvantaged.

Have just had the privilege of working with year 6 for the day as a supply teacher. What a wonderful experience for me! This class represents all that is outstanding in teaching and learning today. Children who are taking responsibility for their own learning, recognising the need to work hard, and at the same time enjoy the experience! Who is responsible? ... great parenting, great teaching, and the ethos of a Catholic, (Universal) education in a school community which certainly demonstrates clearly that every child really does matter.
